You're really not missing much by not going to the Bunnyman Bridge, there's really not much to see there. It's just alot of hype.

Bull Run Mountain is having scary Halloween hikes in the dark. I think it will be fun for families and people that like the outdoors. Contact 703 753 2631 or go to www.fobr.org for the info and times.

Seriously, why didnt they have these costumes for chicks when I was in HS and college? Every single costume for sale for a woman is something short with thigh highs and high heels.

>why didnt they have these costumes for chicks when I was in HS and college?

They didn't have costumes for chicks? Most people I know have preferred to make their own costumes and just buy a mask and wig. I was in Ottawa, Ont. last year and saw some pretty wild Halloween stuff. As in many had just gotten an incredible paint, glitter, and makeup job from the waist up and wore nothing over it.

>I was thinking more along the lines of beers and women dressed in french maid or cheerleader outfits.

You need to go to Vegas.

You need to go to Vegas.

Where in Vegas? I vacation there every year and never saw a casino with french maids and/or cheerleader outfits. You know something I don't?

Meeper the strip is best. the downtown is too hardcore. the way the old men gamble downtown a naked woman could walk through the casino and no one would notice. too bad vegas is getting too many wannabes, it used to be great.

Femont St/Downtown LV is the "old Vegas", dude; it's not hardcore (well...ya know) The Strip, that's for the tourists and the "too many wannabes" you mention.

Well I'm not a big fan of VD so the women in Vegas are out and I'm also not a big fan of watching somebody take my money so gambling in Vegas is out.

I'll probably hit a party or two and then hit a local bar with a custom contest. Nothing like seeing drunk women who are normally "straight laced" dressed up all sexy and tempting.

Downtown and the Strip both have their pluses and minuses, obviously. I like the Strip, but after a while the sheer mass of humanity that populates it becomes tiresome, so I try to hit downtown at least once whenever I'm in Vegas to give my brain and my wallet a break. I'd call Downtown "hardcore" only in the sense that it's not dressed up like the Strip. The hos are a little more skeezy, the casinos aren't quite as pretty, but the food is cheap and the minimums are low and you have that cool old Vegas vibe going on.

Meeper, I didnt mean that downtown vegas wasnt any good I meant that the strip is prob more in line for a halloween party. I dont like what has happened to the strip either. If you want to gamble without all the bs and wannabes then downtown is the place.

At least I am thankful vegas stopped the bs family destination a few years back. Worst idea ever.

Does Joe Ardinger from the don and mike show still go trick or treating for beer on Halloween? That might be a fun thing to do in FFX for Halloween. Wait for joe to get done trick or treating then steal his loot like he was a lil kid. Then Give him a wedgie and say pete rosenberg said HAPPY HALLOWEEN SUCKER!

I stayed at the Golden Nugget a few years ago and the floor girls had some kind of weird outfit, the waitresses looked like cheerleaders, and so did the Keno girls. I was out there for some huge tech convention and two of us hired this female cab driver. For $20 she gave us a real underground night tour of Vegas, that was the best way to see the place.

Back to Fairfax, Bob Evans wants people to show up in costume for Halloween..

Well, you better leave for the hospital on the 29th or 30th. Because you can sit in the waiting room for at least that long to be seen by a doctor....who is usually an illegal alien too!

Not really Fairfax, it is a hike but check out Markoff's Haunted Forest.

http://web.mac.com/markoff/iWeb/MHF/WELCOME.html

I went last year with my girlfriend and it was an awesome time. Coming from Fairfax (if you have time) I would reccommend taking White's Ferry if you never have. It was my first time on it and I just thought it was really cool. Plus once you get off the Ferry you make like one turn and you are there.

I wish I could be going this year but I am in Chicago for school. Booo. I actually miss Fairfax. Who would ever of thought someone could do that. Hrmph.

Halloween Haunts-

Chantilly - Walney Road - It is said that many years ago before the windy road was paved a man was killed while hitchhiking. On Wednesday or Thursday nights at 11:30 if you drive down Walney and you see a hitchhiker, it is recommended that you stop. He appears up to three times to give you the chance to pick him up. If you still don't pick him up by the third time, a car will come out of nowhere and kill you.

Clifton - Bunnyman bridge - a man who escaped from a mental institution hid in a tunnel under a bridge where he hung people. It is called Bunnyman because when searchers looked for the man they found the carcass of rabbits. His ghost still haunts the bridge and sightings of people seen hanging from the bridge are common.

Fairfax - George Mason University - Gazebo - A small gazebo bordering the campus lake is said to be frequented by the spirit of a young man. He apparently drowned in the lake one evening. His body was found sitting in the gazebo by two females the next morning. Since that time, the man’s figure has been seen standing at the edge of the lake, or sitting in the gazebo. He has been known to beckon young women to come sit with him, and quickly disappearing when accommodated.

Falls Church - Longfellow Middle School - Back in the 1960's, the principal of Longfellow suffered a massive heart attack and died in his office at the school. After hours, custodians and other faculty report seeing him walk around the halls, apparently looking for troublemakers - as he would do normally as principal. They also have reported doors shutting, lights turning off, voices, and other noises, all of which have no explanations. This school, reportedly, is one of the most haunted in all of northern Virginia. In 1995, a teacher even reported hearing a moaning and screaming down the hallways, with no one else around.

Leesburg - Balls Bluff Battlefield - Around the time of the battle at night, soldiers have been seen still trying to climb the bluffs and get across the Potomac river.

Manassas - Manassas Battlefield - Unfinished Railroad - During the Civil war, Robert E. Lee ordered the construction of a railroad that he could use to more efficiently transport supplies to Bull Run for his army. The workers were massacred and the railroad was never finished. Strange noises including banshee yells and voices have been heard in the woods bordering the paths. There are two intersecting trails through the woods; take the one to the far right.

Manassas - Old Town Inn - There is a ghost named miss Lucy who hunts rooms 51 to 54 . She sometime holds people in the air and is seen in the city tavern.

Manassas - Signal Hill - Signal Hill Hospital - Once used as a hospital for Confederate wounded during the Civil War, this building has been the site of many strange occurrences; large floating balls of light in the second building of the house, doors slamming shut, and a feeling of presence in the basement. The Signal Hill hospital is located opposite the fork in Signal Hill Rd.

Springfield - Bablat Afif - In the 1880s a Palestinian immigrated to the US and was brutally tortured and then murdered in some woods which are now known as Lake Accotink Park. It is said that on some nights he is heard moaning, "Arrrrrghh". On rare occasions he is also have said to appear in the form of have human half beast with an eye patch.

Anyone else see that Ghostbusters car down in Georgetown? Had a car tricked out just like the movie and all 4 "ghostbusters" inside. Yeah there were a lot of preppy looking guys walking around with their buddies pretending to be Senetor foley and a Page as well.
