Skimming Device Found at Exxon Near Rt28 Multiplex in Centreville

Investigators have located a skimming device at a Centreville gas station, according to a Fairfax police report.

The device was found on a gas pump at the Exxon at Centre Ridge Marketplace, 6330 Multiplex Drive.

On Wednesday, BB&T Bank’s card fraud monitoring division reported irregularities at the gas station. After a request to state compliance officers, the skimming device was found attached to the pump.

The device was collected as evidence and the investigation is ongoing.

Consumers often have a difficult time identifying skimming devices.
