Good Peruvian chicken places around Fairfax/Burke

Make the drive to Arlington / Woodbridge for El Pollo Rico. No other Peruvian chicken compares - not even in Peru.

I can confirm El Pollo Rico is the bomb.

Been eating there since they opened up in Arlington back in 1988 (They are now @ 932 N. kenmore zip 22201 for your GPS).

My only complaint is the parking is a bitch but I try to go off peak lunchtime and dinner hours and try to call in my order if I remember to.

Ok one more complaint- they now charge for extra sauces. I would buy a pint of each if I could. Get an Inca Cola too, they are pretty good, something different than your usual coke and sprite.

What are the spices/marinade they use? I have tried to re create peruvian chicken a few dozen times and can never get it just right. Tried everything from rubs to liquid injection for 48 hours.

I like to make my own peruvian chickn. This recipe is pretty good. I love the green sauce also.

Pollo Rico has been around way longer than Chicken Pollo. Though chicken pollo is probably my second favorite behind pollo rico.

So I went to Pollo Campero ?, some joint across from the homeless shelter near Bailys where Giffords was, 1st time.last week. Ya Ya, I remember when it opened, line around the joint for a month.

Got fried chicken rice with veggies and slaw, Was very good, chicken was cooked well and tender, good spices. 100 times better then Popeyes. Bout as Good as KFC Original when its done right.different spices..good slaw too. and Too much Salt in Rice and Chicken..Had only a bit of the rice..LOL! First time I had this style, I agree ..I can see why its popular, It was good.Si..!

The Peruvian restaurant in Burke Center in the Walmart shopping center has delicious chicken and good sides. Love the Yuca and rice. Chicken is always well cooked and tasty.

Chicken Palace! Why not say the name Steve? Use that small little peanut brain sometimes. Anyway Chicken Palace does serve awesome Peruvian chicken. Charbroiled and slightly overcooked is the way they do it. Half chicken platter with 2 sides and a Coke runs around 10 bucks. Comes with green sauce and a tan sauce

For the Burke area it is the best. Pollo Rico is really good but no Yuca if I recall. I love Peruvian Yuca.
