I'll follow in a year. I love SW Virginia but it is getting expensive, so I'll moseu on down the highway for a couple of states. Still be in the mountains though, just without the huge expense..

Lucky. I had to choose between a transfer out west or a promotion and I chose the promotion. That was 15 years ago and it was a huge mistake. This place has gone from shitty to complete shit. Raised my kids in FCPS' declining schools with a flood of 3rd world sink-shitters sucking all the resources.
Will retire in 3 years after the youngest gets out of college. Sayonara Fairfax and all your fucked up bullshit. It will take 4 millennials to replace my income and the taxes I paid.

OMG You are so right! Good for you! And the stay at home mothers here are as dumb as they are mean.
We wrongly thought that this would be a good place to raise kids, good community, family; but it's a bunch of (very) bored frustrated housewives walking dogs who act worse then 6th grade girls. All they do is talk about other people -- so limited. I stayed at home, but went back to work happily. The Starbucks crowd got old. Yeah -- I don't love my kids because I pay someone to scrub my toilet while I am earning a living and the kids are in school, meanwhile "happy" housewife couldn't get a job stocking shelves.
