Yes Fairfax County uses tasers, I believe they are the taser/stun gun combo's where they can attach a "clip" of sorts to the end to shoot the prongs into suspects, or they can detach that part and use it as a contact stun gun. I think only senior officers can use them, havent seen many officers carrying them though.

I was at the home of a female officer who volunteers to demonstrate the effectiveness of them by taking one in the chest.

She was ok after taking the "original taser", she was even able to stand and talk.

But she said the newer model was just overwhelming... she couldn't get up and her fellow officers were forced to just stand and watch her convulse.

That is one awesome bitch cop. She told me she patrols Bailey's Crossroads, so you MS-13 bangers there better stick to harassing the male cops.

Actually, she was not bad looking. For a bitch cop. She also had a really nice house. It's safe to say she was on the take. She had all these exotic birds, too, that she got from the pound. She'd get tipped off whenever they got an African Grey parrot or whatever, so the rest of us wouldn't get a chance to nab one. Her house smelled like birdshit.

But yeah, she was not bad. Any woman who is into taser-play in bed is a rare find indeed.

Tasers are horrible. It stops your heart for a moment, just enough to screw you up for good. That is not good if you were tasered by accident, or were innocent. There have been an awful lot of people in Florida who died later on that same day from heart attacks. Of course no one wants to own up to just how deadly these instruments really are.

I want one of those bull tasers. I saw a video for one where it just collapsed the bull like it's legs were imploding. ZAP and the thing instantaneously hit the ground.

I'd purchase some large animals and just give tasing demonstrations for kids and whoever else. Grizzly bears, tigers, whatever. Fun fun fun. These animals would be in cages, of course. I mean, as soon as that bull hit the ground, it found the energy to get back up, five times as pissed.

Hmm maybe I'll skip the live demos.

I know somebody who saw a guy get tased by FCPD this past Monday night in Seven Corners. Apparently this guy walked into the Pizzeria Uno, started flipping out & threatening people, and when the police showed up he assualted one of them, and the cop whipped out a taser and juiced the guy pretty good. I'm looking for the police report but can't find it online. It sounded like a pretty wild scene.

yeah there was a kid at Oakton high school a couple years ago that got tazered. It happened in the hallways when he got in an argument with the school security after he got caught skipping. Apparently they are not too shy about using that shit on people.

It would be nice if they posted video's of the cops tasing each other.

FCPD should upload the video's and have a search feature by officer name. That way residents that got a ticket could get out their frustration by watching that officer tazed.

While I have immense respect for the taser and have considered buying one or two for home defense, I have never been THAT entertained by the takedowns. I proffer myself as impressed, indeed, with the stopping power, but the videos of the takedowns are usually low-quality and don't show that much of the twitching and convulsing.

I posted the videos I posted more on that point, to show the stopping power in action. WHAM you're down. Doesn't matter who it is.

And whoever said it has never been directly linked to a death was right. Those weapons are almost always used on very fit people who are threatening, and therefore are not at serious risk of death from any electric shock at that level, or they were on drugs and it is impossible to prove what killed them for sure.

I might still watch the cops taser edition video, though.
