This weekend, after announcing his plan to eliminate the entire $73 million Chesapeake Bay Clean-Up Fund, Donald Trump took yet another $3 million taxpayer-funded vacation to his Mar-a-Lago estate.
As of February, Trump’s trips to Mar-a-Lago had already cost taxpayers $10 million. At that rate, all Trump would have to do to save the Chesapeake Bay is postpone his next vacation until September.
Hardworking Virginians know that you can’t always get what you want when you have to take care of what you need. Donald Trump wants to vacation in Mar-a-Lago, but Virginia needs funds to clean up the bay.
Virginia Democrats know this, and we’re working weekends to fight for the Bay. The Washington Post has taken note, as Delegate Mike Mullin led a rally Saturday at which he and other Democrats called on Trump to save the Chesapeake Bay.
Join us in demanding that Donald Trump put a hold on his vacations until the hard work is done.
