I know that they are down to the finalist for the Superintendent for FCPS but no-one knows who they are because it is a closed search

We used the same headhunter firm that "found" Garza for us. Very expensive and a total waste.

Terrific candidates are not being considered because they will not sign with this firm.

Check them out and you will see why they are successful.... they make a big fee and create contracts favorable to the candidates, who generally stay a short time and are then recruited for big-money corporate jobs.

But they have the ear of several school board members. Nothing was learned from the Garza fiasco.

Seems like it's a yearly revolving door.

I only remember one Superindendant - William Burkholder - the whole time I was in FCPS.

I'm but a simple teacher, but my vote goes for somebody who isn't in the job for the next job. Dr. Garza lined up not only her next high paying job but a big contract with her next high paying job. Compare the FCPS website to her new employer's website. Unhmmmmm

There have only been three superintendents of FCPS over the last 20 years. So, not a revolving door, but good try there fella.

As a concerned parent I volunteered to be on the Parent Panel to listen to the interviews. FCPS never contacted me.

The only criteria that matters is the one not considered: ability to obtain Federal grant money from a Republican administration.
