Back in the 70's and into the early 80's McDonald's sandwiches all came in a styrofoam clamshell box. The McLean Deluxe was a double box. It kept the patty warm and the veggies cool. Then, at some point in the mid to late 80's, McDonald's got rid of all styrofoam packaging in favor of biodegradable cardboard.

Today, my drink came in a styrofoam cup. What's the deal? Oh...and the tops slip off like a muffakah, so if you get one...watch out...

Here at Arthur Treacher's we are ok with styrofoam containers. It keeps the fish and hush puppies nice and hot. Oh, and the Fanta will stay much cooler in that styrofoam cup.

I've gotten the styrofoam cup, both from drive-thru and for-here,
every time and every location in the last week or so.
And since I eat there almost every day at least once,
thats a lot. Not a mistake and not just one store screwing up.

They aren't going to give you a porcelain mug...

Them just cutting costs or making the cup more disposable since styro breaks and holes easy dpilling your drink all over. Maybe people abused the sturdier cups.

Stupid fucks. As mentioned, the large Styrofoam cup's are for McDonald's $1 Sweet (or unsweet) iced tea. Occasionally, for soft drinks, they will run low on the larger size wax paper or plastic cups and substitute a Styrofoam cup but not very often. It has been this way for many years...NOTHING new here!

Hi...welcome back from 1817. This is 2017. I know you'd like to keep black men and women in subservient positions but, it should come as no surprise that people of all races serve in all capacities at hospitals. When it comes to your health and the health of those you love and otherwise care about, I should think you would want the very best care for them, regardless of the race that provides that care.

I thought that McDonalds had began new sturdier cups.. why would I think? Although I was firmly confident that I had my lid on correctly as I really don't like getting burnt, the lid slipped/fell off. It did not feel good...I kept my composure, but wanted to yell and scream. It is not the employees fault and I can I recognize that. These cups are ridiculous. I guess McDonald's need us know right off and figuring up there gearing up for their next lawsuit. Great job Ronald.

Queen Trump is doing away with the EPA. Fuck the environment and enjoy the 1,000 year half life of styrofoam. Better yet, bury the dead in coffins constructed of styrofoam. Next of kin will then have more money for gas and McDonalds. You boys need to quit bitching and think ahead about future investments.

All drinks are $1.00 since a few months ago. They are probably getting more orders of large than normal because of the cheap price and are either running out of the regular large cups, or using the styrafoam cups to save money i.e. compensated for the low price.

The Federal gov't has plans for a new fully hydroelectric plant to provide renewable energy to the entire area. The cost to build this is yuuuuuge. In order to save money, President Trump has allowed McDonalds to restart their styrofoam product distribution.

How does this get us to the new plant? The key component to renewable hydroelectric generation is to dam up a significant waterway. By providing niggers with styrofoam, the Anacostia will be crammed full - and dammed up in a matter of months.
