Who sits around waiting? Just happened to be driving by and saw them there.

Its not like you have to try hard to find them.

Look it's just a funny picture. We realize that the Police could of been there on offical business..... like maybe someone got away with a dozen donuts and they were taking them down. (The donuts I mean)

I've seen cops patronizing every conceivable eating establishment...so what.

I don't see how the whole cop/donut stereotype got started....it isn't the least bit funny....who cares?

Hey does anybody remember the topless donut shop in Springfield? It was called "R Donuts" (as in rated R). Took me YEARS to lose the weight I gained in that joint!

I don't know how it got started either, but the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear cop, is "Lets get the hell out of here". THen I think "donut" and then I think "Kid killer". Just my 5 cents.

I guess because most give the cops free donuts and coffee. In return they get the cops hanging around at all hours of the night. Its pretty cheap insurance against a robbery or trouble making drunks.
I am not being critical of the cops just stating a fact.

It is perplexing, isn't it? Kind of like whenever I think of "unemployable jerks with criminal records who still live with their parents and spend too much time on the Internet rather than seeking gainful employment" I always think of Fairfax Underground.

Some things just go hand in hand and are inexplicable.

Tim45,

Is that really a fact? If you have proof the cops are accepting free goods and services I would love to be able to see it. Nothing like a good public scandal to brighten my day, seeing as it's explicitly forbidden.

RESton Peace,

good public scandal??? you have to be joking, it's common knowledge and it will never stop. In most places, its a COMPANY POLICY. You my friend, are an idiot. Go write to the post about this new public scandal.

wow the fan club is really out in force tonight, you guys really do take every word I say and make it into a serious comment. Go back to not posting, you were much better at that. Do you seriously think I was serious? Need I put disclaimers after all my messages so you can rest more easily?

Looks like I have a new net stalker...

Good to see people hanging on my every word and taking me so seriously, though, it's actually flattering now that I've thought another second about it. You guys treat me like a celebrity or something, whose every word needs to be scrutinized.

Lol.

Restonpeace,

to answer your question, yes I do believe you were serious. Now you're just trying to retract a dumbass statement. I'm not saying you're dumb because I don't know you...but your views on this topic are completely wrong and ignorant. At one point in your life, one cop(or someone with authority over you, ie principal/teacher) must have really put you in your place. Now you will spend the rest of your life badmouthing and putting them down without knowing basic facts just to get everyone else to agree with you so that you feel better about yourself and your actions... coward

In most areas the 7-11's provide an office for the cops to use. I dont see the problem with them hanging out at the donut shop or any other open all night place. It makes good sense for the public who wants to go there and the clerks who have the dangerous job of working there. It helps to keep the jerks and trouble makers out which is good for me the customer and the business.

I dont think I have ever seen the cops at a place and then had to work my way through a bunch of bums out front begging money. They keep that kind of trash away and free coffee or not it works for me. The same goes for a restaurants. As long as the cops are in there the half ass clowns looking for trouble wont go in.

Darn, how dare that cop take a piss ;)

I forgot when they become cops, they need to remove their bladders ;)

maybe they should give up their employment and become dredges of society who bash the people who actually do something good ;)

It's GREAT to have cops around!......and I don't blame any business for "comping" our po-po.

Twenty or so ago, when I was struggling to pay a HUGE mortgage on a large house, and raise my kids.....I used to rent rooms in my basement to VSP troopers.....most of them rookies, who almost always came from the outer reaches of rural Virginia. They made almost nothing and couldn't afford even the cheapest apartment...I had at least two troopers living in my basement at any one time......and up to four on a few occasions.

Back then, I traveled a LOT on my job, and my wife and young children were often home alone....I can't tell you how good I felt if I was in, say 'Frisco, and I knew there were at least a couple Virginia State Police cruisers in my driveway at any given time. They were VERY fine young men.....and dedicated to their duty of keeping the peace in the Commonwealth.

PS: Cops hate to "talk shop". I NEVER asked a trooper to "fix" a ticket (they can't) They do NOT want to hear about how Gravis' feelings were hurt when FCPD apparently failed to appreciate his exceptional intellect whilst telling him to sit down and SHUT UP!

Don't know any Fairfax County po-po......but the bumper sticker you see....."Troopers are you best protection" is certainly true. But they WILL cite you speeding and red light running assholes.....so never mind.

if you cant feed 'em, don't breed 'em. also, if you are always away from your kids, you are a lousy parent. you have created another problem for society to deal with, your kid. way to go.

Relax, assholes....that mortgage is paid off now, and the house is assessed at over $1 M.

Kids are all out of college, except one with a year of med school left.

I don't rent out the basement anymore either....no room, I'm building an airplane down there nowadays.

Why are you building the plane in the basement? I use the fourth bay of my garage to build my planes. If I need more space then I move the Ferrari out of the third bay and put it in storage until I'm finished.

Testing the engine. The brick column was holding the plane in place. First was holding the nose down. The second guy was holding a cushion so the nose of the plane didn't get scratched up on the bricks.

Did you ever wonder if those strapping young troopers were banging your wife while you were out of town? Not a sermon, just a thought.

From what I know of Troopers wives they are pretty kinky so I wouldn't be surprise if that was happening and Trooper was enjoying it.
