Anybody get the alternative to Cox or FIOS, Layer 3 TV?

Wondering what is it all about. I heard it is 100% internet based so you have to keep FIOS or Cox for the internet and phone, but you can drop cable. Layer 3 recommends internet @ 100mbps or greater to ensure proper streaming of channels. Anyone tried it out yet?

Cost about the same and same bait and switch...2 years contract sweet deal, then WHAMO $$$. But if you like to switch 'em up every few years, it might be OK. I would hope you have fios as your inernet provider. The connection is leaps and bounds ahead of cox, even with their mid-tier (low these days I dunno?) 50-50 plan.

I guess it depends on Layer 3 compression/quality/and how much of an audio/video snob you are. For example, a cox to fios switch was a drastic improvement of HD and SD quality for me.

It appears that their lowest package is $79 per month. Add in another $80 per month for the internet connection and it costs as much as Comcast. What is the point?

...certainly knowledge-impaired. X25 and Frame Relay are *different*. Yeah, yeah, you said "based". If you want to use vague terms like that, Frame Relay is "based" on smoke signals...

And why TF are you shouting? Are you stupid?
