FIRE ZORN!

Jim Zorn needs to be immediately fired. His play calling is the WORST in the NFL, and along with Zorn, Vinny Cerrato needs to be shown the door. Dan Snyder would be smart to bring in Cowher or Shanahan, and let them run EVERYTHING. If he doesn't fire Zorn and Cerrato(Yes its a package deal), then the Redskins will continue their misery on and off the field.

Get it done Danny, before its too late.

This is a three tiered problem folks. The first and second parts of this forum are correct. If Snyder's going to keep the Skins, which he obviously will do unless armaggedon happens, he needs to step away completely. He needs to sit in his luxury box, and sip on Martinis, while someone like those two coaches is given complete reigns to the franchise. Vinny's just a stopgap, kiss ass for Snyder. Keep him as the coffee fetcher, but let a pro have the team control completely.

Danny will never give up the reigns. If he wouldn't do it for Joe Gibbs, probably the only coach he ever really admired, he won't do it for Cowher or Shanahan.

The problem with Campbell is that he is too conservative, but when he does try to open things up, he makes some real bone-headed throws (like throwing into quadruple coverage on Kelly that one time).

Campbell is definitely a problem, but why?

My answer is because of this bizarre policy the Skins have a drafting a QB in the first round, then forcing him to sit out for at least 1-2 seasons, just long enough to completely lose their mojo.

Eli played his first year and he seems to be doing pretty damn good, in fact he has a fucking Super Bowl ring.

Sanchez is doing fine and his team is 3-0.

Phillip Rivers is doing fine and so is Cutler and now Stafford has a win.

Jamarcus Russell was a 1rst round pick and he sat for 2 seasons. He is a total bust now.

Jason Campbell might have had possibilities, but he sat there for 1-2 years on the sideline and lost it. Same with Colt Brennan and will probably happen to Chase Daniels too.

Campbell is a problem because he is using the West Coast Offense when he is a traditional pocket passer. Instead of seeing how his receivers are getting off the line and then using timing routes, he stands back looking for a receiver to come open. That's not how the West Coast Offense works. The QB has to trust that his receiver with be at spot "A" by X-amount of time and then throw to that spot.

When Campbell got picked yesterday, he kept his eyes on Sellers the entire time. No wonder so many guys were jumping in front of passes.

Yea but the most winning qb of the decade is Tom Brady, and his ass was parked on the bench as a fourth string qb for awhile. If you got it, you got it. Jcamb just isn't developing like he should. He is hesitant in the pocket, scared to run like he did in college.

Part of the problem is expectations. How many Tom Bradys are there?

Most teams have Campbells. Is Kerry Collins in Tennessee any better than Campbell? Chad Pennington? Jay Cutler? Shaun Hill? Marc Bulger? Byron Leftwich? Trent Edwards? David Gerrard?

Very rarely does a QB end up being "a Tom Brady."

at this stage in his career, on par with Campbell

Better decision making skills than Campbell.

Not even in the same category as Campbell. He is much closer to Brady, Manning Brees types than Campbell type.

Yes on romo, but compared to where Cutler is in his career (3rd full year as a starter), he is comparable to Brady and Manning. I am not saying he will equal thier careers, but he has proven as able as either of those QBs if you look at each of their first three years as a starter. Take out the horrific GB game, he is getting it done this year without a clear #1 WR.

My only disagreement is that it isn't "the house that Joe built." I don't think "Joe" wanted Campbell, Portis, Betts or about half the guys who are still on the team. This is the house that Danny and Vinny built...and who no one can coach.

Gibbs definitely wanted Campbell. It is well known that he fell head over heals for him when scouting Rogers.

I don't know about that. Gibbs had a reputation for preferring veterans over drafting rookies in the QB position (see Theismann, Williams, Rypien, Brunell). He may have liked Campbell personally, but I don't doubt the decision to pick a QB in the draft was driven by Snyder and Vinny. I didn't exactly see Gibbs hot and heavy to play Campbell even in instances where it was obvious Brunell wasn't doing the job.

I agree on the veteran thing. I think Gibbs thougt he could get Brunell to last a bit longer when he went ofter Campbell in the draft I don't think it was his intention to start Campbell so soon. I think he would have preferred to start Campbell in 2008 after grooming him for a few years the way he groomed Theismann for four years behind Kilmer.

You call it "Grooming", I call it wasting away. Theismann should have been playing earlier on. Sonny and Billy were pretty old and slow at that stage and both treated Joe pretty bad.
I think Joe would have been great then and would have probably won another Superbowl if he had not busted his leg up.

People like to use Brady as an example of sitting on the sideline for several years, but he was a 6th round pick and no one had ANY hope for him and so there was no need to put him in until tragedy struck.

I think any 1rst round pick should be thrown directly into the fire on their first year, unless you already have an amazing QB in place.

Which reinforces the conventional wisdom that Danny Boy asked Gibbs to leave before his contract was up. LeVar Arrington referred to the rumors around the Gibbs situation as the reason why Danny Boy couldn't find a coach and had to hire Zorn.

Yes and no. I think if the team has a solid O-Line and running game then, yes. But as we saw with Patrick Ramsey and David Carr, throwing a rookie QB into a situation where they are doomed to fail no matter what doesn't help the QB's development. Not to say that Ramsey or Carr would have been great QBs. But I definitely think it stunted their careers.

Ramsey doesn't count. He was a sitting duck. That guy was slower than Sonny on his worst day or Kilmer on quaaludes.

case in point Aaron Rodgers. Speaking of Rodgers, look at the 2005 draft. Alex Smith drafted #1 overall - a huge BUST so far. Aaron Rodgers at #24 -groomed behind Favre and does pretty well. #25 was Campbell - we all know how that has panned out.

Grooming looks to be the best for the '05 draft at least. In the '06 draft, Eli sat behind Warner for a year and Rivers sat behind Brees for three.

He played, but Warner started the first 10 games for the Giants.

from wiki:

In August 2004, Rivers signed a six-year, $40.5 million contract with the San Diego Chargers that included $14.5 million in signing bonuses. However, due to a protracted contract negotiation with the San Diego Chargers, Rivers reported to the team during the last week of training camp. As a result, the Chargers gave incumbent quarterback Drew Brees the opportunity to retain his starting job at the beginning of the season. With almost no training camp time under his belt, Rivers was unable to wrest the starting position from Drew Brees during the 2004 preseason. Rivers began the season as the Chargers' third QB option, behind Doug Flutie, but ahead of the #4 QB Cleo Lemon. Lemon was a quarterback at Arkansas State and played against Rivers in Rivers' first collegiate game. Unfortunately for Rivers, Brees went on to have by far the best season of his career up to that point. By the end of the season, Drew Brees was named to the NFL Pro Bowl and won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award. Rivers received very limited playing time in the 2004 season, playing in only two games. He only threw passes in the second half of the last game of the 2004 season (a win over Kansas City), by which time the Chargers had already clinched a home playoff spot and the AFC West division title.

2005
Rivers was promoted to the #2 on the quarterback depth chart after the Chargers released Doug Flutie, who later signed with the New England Patriots.

Rivers was unable to beat out Drew Brees for the starting quarterback job in the Chargers' 2005 training camp and preseason, thus remaining the backup QB. In the Chargers' final game of the 2005 season, at home in Qualcomm Stadium, Rivers entered the game after Brees dislocated his right shoulder late in the second quarter due to a hit from Denver Broncos safety John Lynch. Rivers completed 12 of 22 passing attempts for 115 yards with one interception and two fumbles. The Chargers lost to Denver, 20–7. However, Rivers led the Chargers on their only scoring drive that game, which culminated in a 4-yard TD run by RB LaDainian Tomlinson.

You didn't. You proved me right. Both played their first year. Maybe not that much, but at least got their feet wet.

The point of this whole thing remains, would Eli and Rivers been able to start and do as well or better than the struggling incumbant and the answer is YES.

Drew Brees was already tearing it up, so they had no need to start the rookie, and even when they did, it wasn't a disaster. Part of the reason Eli wanted out of SD was because he wanted to play. If you remember the whole Eli/Rivers debacle.

Symantics. They were "groomed" in the sense of the debate that is going on here - particularly Rivers. Aaron Rodgers saw some time before his tenure as starter as well. Taking a few snaps to get in the game is not the same as "playing." Neither of these guys qualifies as being "thrown directly into the fire on their first year."

And your statement "Rivers played immediately." If by immediate you mean he threw his first of two passes all season in the second half of the last game then yes, I suppose that would qualify as immediate. However, most people would not consider the second half of week 17 as "immediately."

I am still sorry for proving you wrong.

What week did he start accumulating passing yards? Click the "Game log" to find out. He completeed 3 whole passes in week one. Warner started that game and started every game up to week 11.

Still waiting on that explaination for Philip Rivers "played immediately."

So word is Danny Boy's plane was in Denver Sunday evening at an airport near Shanahan's house.

I just want to point out a couple of things about Mike Shanahan. Mike Shanahan is a future Hall of Fame coach. However, there is DE (During Elway) Shanahan and AE (After Elway) Shanahan.

The DE Shanahan won two consecutive Super Bowls. The AE Shanahan never won a playoff game in Denver. The DE Shanahan had a winning percentage of .735, which is better than Bill Belichick's record in New England. The AE Shanahan had a winning record of .569, which was worse than Marty Schottenheimer's record in San Diego. And keep in mind, Pat Bowlen is one of the most loyal and amenable owners in the NFL in terms of the way he treats his head coaches. Shanahan's only experience with a difficult owner was the two years he was the head coach for the LA Raiders' Al Davis....where he had a .400 record over two seasons.

The fact is, there is little evidence to show that a Shanahan tenure in Washington won't turn out just like a Gibbs II or Schottenheimer tenure.

Heard this on the radio this morning.
Way to support your former assistant. I suppose he can keep Zorn as OC.

Holmgren eyeballing D.C.?
Posted by Mike Florio on September 29, 2009 8:36 PM ET

Former Packers and Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren has been making no bones about his desire to return to the NFL in 2010.

And we've been hearing for months rumors that Holmgren would be very interested in becoming the next coach of the Washington Redskins.

Earlier today, Peter King of SI.com provided some meat for that bone, in an appearance with Chris Russo of Mag Dog Unleashed on Sirius XM Radio.

"I've heard a lot of people say in the last few days, 'Oh, Holmgren wouldn't want to go to Washington,'" King said. "Keep one thing in mind in December when all this stuff starts to go down. Remember where you heard this. Mike Holmgren last year, Thanksgiving weekend, I'm sitting in his office in Seattle and he says, 'You know, I'm going to take this next year off but after that I'll give you a cool little theory for what I might do.' I said, 'What?' And he says, 'I've coached in the Midwest with Green Bay and I grew up playing and coaching out west -- Brigham Young, the 49ers, Seattle.' And he said, 'I'd really love to try the East Coast. That brand of football where you wake up on Sunday morning and it's the most important thing. There aren't 800 things to do. Where you're in East Rutherford or Philly or Washington and it's so important.'

"He said, 'I'd really love to try football on the East Coast.' So do not eliminate Mike Holmgren when you start talking about coaching candidates for [Redskins owner] Dan Snyder."

So we think it'll be Holmgren and Shanahan jockeying for position in D.C., and the Redskins and Cowboys in a possible tug of war to get their preferred candidate.

That's why we don't rule out the 'Skins launching the process before the end of the season, in order to get a crack at Holmgren or Shanahan, before Jerry Jones does.

Anybody who says things like this in reference to themselves is a fucking idiot (football success aside). Holmgren is the perfect egotist to come into Landover and fail under Snyder. I would give him two years.

I don't think either of those coaches are right for Washington. We need a more Bill Belichic type of coach that truly understands coaching, personnel, drafting and that loves football. Not that there's anyone like that available, but wouldn't it be great?

Both Holmgren and Shannahan benefited from having hall of fame QB's, but did THEY bring them in or did a personnel guy. AS WTL stated, after those QB's left, neither did very well.

I think just about everyone agrees that Jim Zorn is in over his head and on the way out, so it's time to start speculation who's next.

The Madden simulation is funny. It predicted Nugent as Tampa's "Player of the Game," when Nugent COST them the game (okay, maybe it was the long snapper or holder, whatever).

Well,
Sherman Lewis has been hired by Snyder, so I'm guessing Zorn is on his way out soon. Cerrato referred to Sherman Lewis as a "new set of eyes".

One position of Zorn's is filled. 2 more to go.

Lewis was an OC under Holmgren in Green Bay in the 90s. Anyone else see where this is going?

Not this season. But Lewis may be assessing the situation for Holmgren who is waiting to make a decision until after this season is up. I don't think the intent is for Lewis to take over this season, but to get a read on the organization and personnel for Holmgren (which would be smart on his part, if that is indeed what is happening).

That's exactly what's happening.
However, I think it could come this season. Zorn is barely hanging on and ESPN hinted that they had inside info that it's just a matter of filling the 3 positions Zorn holds currently. One is now already filled, two more to go.

If the Skins lose the next two games, I believe Snyder will pull the trigger.

I have a hard time seeing a coach of Holmgren's caliber coming in mid-season. I would suspect that if Zorn is canned that Lewis will be "acting head coach" until Holmgren is brought in at the end of the season.

I'm not really sure I like the Holmgren choice anyway. Let's be honest, Seattle was never really a powerhouse team and Green Bay had Brett Favre. Yeah, Seattle made the playoffs here and there, but usually lost in the second round, after beating the Redskins of course.

I think this team needs someone with a temper and someone who is more violent. Someone with balls that will stand up to players and put them in their place if they fuck up.
I like how Bellichic told Joey Gallaway to fuck off if he's not gonna play in the scheme. I also like how Singletary straightened out that douchebag receiver and sent a message to the rest of the team to get the hell in line or get out.

Zorn is scared to death of Clinton Portis for some reason and just not assertive enough to do anything.

Options: ReplyQuote
Re: FIRE ZORN!

Zorn is afraid of Portis because Portis is Danny Boy's buddy and will end-run Zorn at the drop of a hat.

The Skins could use a no-bullshit guy like Singeltary, Parcells or Gruden. Unfortunately, as we saw with Schottenheimer, Danny Boy's fragile ego can't tolerate a strong man who is right and has no problem expressing his opinion.

I think of all of the names I have heard, Holmgren strikes as the one most likely to take the position. His ego is so huge that he will figure he can take any team to the Super Bowl. He probably also thinks he is a master politician who will be able to get Danny Boy to see things his way (wrong!).

I think the other guys out there have other plans. Shanahan is keeping an eye on San Diego. Cowher is looking out for Carolina. And Gruden probably doesn't want to deal with another Al Davis-type asshole owner.

Blache is no longer talking to the press. He has given the duty over to Jerry Gret.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/jason-reid/blache-hands-media-duties-over.html

Zorn may be fired by the bye in 2 1/2 weeks. Then it will look like this...

Blache HC
Lewis OC
Jerry DC

and what does making Blache coach right now do ... head start on the Rooney Rule..

also would take Lewis a couple weeks to learn the offense .. like Bye week

The next coach of the Redskins will be Shannahan. He and Vinny are friends.

So Portis and Sellers were close to throwing punches in the locker room because Portis was working behind the scenes to try to get Sellers benched. The guys who jumped in to stop that fight shouldn't have. Sellers would have destroyed Portis and taught that ass a lesson. Sellers can't run down field and block every line backer and safety in Portis's way.

I've never cared for Portis's running style. He never goes down the middle unless it is a draw play and there's no chance of anyone touching him until he is in the secondary. He cannot finesse his way through a defense. His claim to fame was using speed to get around on the outside. However, he doesn't have the speed anymore. He is basically useless against a good run defense.

as much as i hate to agree w/you on that you are on to something. Portis used to always go straight at the defense, head first, and looking to go and bang out some yards. idk if its a slow start or what but he just does not seem the same.

Hey, if LT is done, Portis certainly could be. Since the move away from powerbacks to smaller finesse and speed backs, RBs don't seem to last as long as they used to. I've seen Portis in person and he's not a big guy.

ok ok i stopped reading the post a year ago, i musta missed it on ESPN.

however i do not believe it is completely time to stop using Portis. He is still an above average blocking rb on pass plays, and any mediocre back can look good or great with a good offensive line.

So, with that in mind this upcoming draft the redskins need to draft a prime time offensive linemen with our first pick. maybe if we could find a sleeper in the later rounds with a running back that would be nice, but if were looking to replace Portis i would want my number one pick to do that.. so not this year.

If Dan and Vinny had half-a-brain, they would stick with Zorn through the end of this season and then pull together a one season "dream team" of vets near retirement for the no cap year. Use a $300 mil payroll and pick up guys like Favre, T.O., Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James, etc, for a blow-out season. Get a decent, proven coach like Denny Green or Mark Marz to coach them for the year. It would pack FedEx Field.

Is it just me or has the tide really turned against Snyder? I've read more columns and heard more sports talk shows calling him out this year than in any other. Hell, even WTOP had one of their "call in and leave a comment" about whether it's more enjoyable to watch a Skins game on TV or go to FedEx. The majority of the comments were that Snyder has made watching a game live unbearable with his nickle and diming of the fans.

The tide has turned. I think people are done giving him the benefit of the doubt. The best you can expect from this current situation, though, is Vinny finally getting canned.

I think Vinnie has some kinda dirt on Snyder to have lasted this long. Maybe Vinnie caught Dan with some gay prostitute or something and told him he'd better keep him in coke forever or it might slip out during his withdrawl symptoms.

There has to be some reason for keeping him around this long.

You might be right. Maybe Vinny is Danny's gatekeeper. If push comes to shove and there is an ouster, I bet Vinny still has some sort of advisory role to stay on Danny Boy's payroll.

Look at what Ted Leonsis did with the Caps before the lockout. He basically dropped everyone but Kolzig. Snyder could do the same. Go with a $300 mil payroll in 2010, get an entire dream team (not just those players on offense) for 2010. Then, when the lockout starts, clean the decks and have tons of cap room for when the lockout ends.

Of course they do. That's what happens when you keep a team together under two head coaches. They realize that the head coach isn't the problem.

BTW, 6 flags is not doing very well these days and the Skins are in jeopardy of tanking for the first time in history. Maybe he'll want to get while the getting is good?

Dan Snyder is in bankruptcy court over Six Flags trying not to lose his shirt.

He may be worth $1 billion on paper, but I have to question how liquid he really is at this time.

According to the Washington Times, the Skins are going after Gruden. This would make sense, given that Gruden's reputation was hurt in the last two years at Tampa, between the QB carousel and running Cadillac Williams into the ground. If Gruden ends up in DC, I can see it imploding like Oakland has in recent years. It's going to be awful.

I agree. Gruden is a nice guy, but I don't think he's what the Skins need right now. In fact, short of Snyder and Cerrato suddenly vacating, I can't think what it is the Skins need right now.
I do think they are going to have start from scratch and bag the whole "West Coast Offense" bullshit. I think the players you have should dictate what type of offense you run.

not sure if it was you, or somebody else, but it was stated, and i agree the HC, zorn or someone new needs to be a person who will get up in peoples face and let them know, perhaps yelling with anger, what the fuck they need to do and if they are doing it wrong. Gruden has a super bowl ring. I think he would be a good fit. He is a HEAD coach first, AND great at dealing with quarterbacks. He also had the best defense in the league for a good bit. i would be A-okay with Gruden ;however, not until the end of the season.

Gruden is going to be Marty, Part II. I think Gruden is a good coach, but he does have some issues with personnel management anyway (like have six QBs sitting around while negotiating for Favre). If he ends up in DC, it is going to be a toxic mix with Danny and Vinny.

True, but the same can be said of anyone coming in. That's why I think Zorn should stay... unless Danny hires someone to replace Vinny AND let that GM run the show then it doesn't matter what caliber of coach is on the field. I would even go so far as to say Zorn COULD be a positive for the team if that were to happen. There is no sense in trying to heal a sick tree by removing leaves that don't look great. If they aren't going to change the corporate environment then coaching changes aren't going to accomplish anything.

Hahaha, I defy any coach to bench one of Snyder's boyfriends like Portis. Snyder would run the coach out of town exactly 3 seconds after he got the phone call.

Portis: "*Sniff Sniff* Danny, Gruden benched me!"
Snyder: "There there Clinton, I'll protect you. That mean old coach can't do that to you. He'll be on the next flight to Alaska!"

That's exactly what would happen. That's how Marty got into trouble. He benched Jeff George for not using the play he called and the next thing you know George is playing, Brad Johnson was being shipped out and Marty's head was about to explode.

Theismann said that the Skins O-Line is so bad now that no QB is going to be able to get a pass off against the blitz. The KC defense is better than the defenses the Skins faced with the Bucs and Rams. I expect Campbell to be harassed and hurried all game and forced into picks and fumbles.

Or they could install a faster, more mobile QB that can roll out and escape a little better. Campbell can't throw even when he isn't pressured, so we won't be losing anything by putting Brennan or Daniels in there.

Isn't Brennan on IR for the season? I also wasn't very impressed with Chase Daniels. He has the will, but not the physical talents needed.

You may be right about Brennan being on IR. That limits the choices to Daniels or the old guy, Todd Collins. Neither of those are great choices, but it might be worth a try if Campbell struggles.

Is it a legitimate IR injury? Or is some bullshit thing like when Joe Gibbs put Stan Humphries on IR for the entire season for a "blood disorder" - so he wouldn't lose him on waivers or some shit.

IR does mean he cannot return this year. But give me a break he'd be a disaster. Todd Collins has experience and a 5-1 record as a Redskins starter, Sonny J said the Redskins would be 5-0 if he was the starter. Not sure I buy that but Campbell is the only real option and sadly there are no great available qbs this offseason so will not get any better.

In the upcoming draft just draft all lineman. Give us a lot of depth and maybe sign a free agent receiver.

I was using the NFL fantasy ranking. Also, the Rams have given up more points per game, as have the Bucs. As we have seen with the Skins offense, moving the ball up and down the field doesn't mean shit if you can't score in the Red Zone. KC has been more effective at stopping scoring than have the Rams or Bucs.

They have allowed the same amount of touchdowns as the bucs and only two less than the rams who have played tougher teams. KC is the worst defense in the league right now, period. End of story.

Nope. I'm not. Now shut the fuck up, you homer. You don't know shit. The Skins are a fucking disaster. They couldn't beat KC.

Tomorrow Snyder will fire Zorn and replace him with the OC who has never called a play at the NFL level. I originally predicted the Skins going 5-11 this season. I may have been wrong. I think 5-11 is too optimistic.

I'm sure Snyder appreciates the money you plunked down to watch his shit-fest of a team.

Kansas Cities defense has been improving markedly and the offense is catching up making them somewhat underrated. Knowing this there was no excuse not to be prepared for yesterdays game.

The Skins and their fans have no soul at this point. Dan Snyder destroyed them.

Snyder absolutely refuses to believe there is any one on this earth smarter about anything than himself. I've known people like him my whole life. He'll blame everyone else but himself for his failures. Truly immature. Six Flags I'm sure is the economies fault, Right Dan?

His foray into the NFL proves one thing,... even idiots in this country can become millionaires. I hope the little dumbshit eventually gets his stupid "Futball" team in Europe. You know those crazy kooky soccer fans! If Snyder does for the Tottenham Hotspur F.C. soccer team as hes done for the Red Skins the fans would burn down his precious little stadium right damn NOW! And it would be funny watching the little bitch jump around when it happens

Dan Snyder reminds me of William Durant, the founder of General Motors. He was a high-flying mogul. But, because of his own ego, he ended up broke and running a bowling alley in Flint, Michigan. I have a feeling a similar fate is in store for our Danny Boy.

Yep. Pathetic indeed.

I've been a Ravens fan for 10 years, so I'm not sure how I am a "bandwagon guy."

Wasn't that two safeties in two weeks? Has that ever happened to an NFL team before?

The NFL team record for safeties in a game is three, by the Los Angeles Rams against the New York Giants on September 30, 1984.[9] The individual record is two, by the Rams' Fred Dryer against the Green Bay Packers on October 21, 1973.

How sad. The only end-zone the Redskins offense can get into is its own!

There is one more thing they could try

The NFL also has a one-point "conversion safety" rule, but such a safety can only be scored by the offense. According to former NFL referee Jerry Markbreit:
Under NFL rules, an unsuccessful extra-point is dead if kicked, but while attempting a two-point try, it is possible for a safety to be ruled if the defensive team forces the ball back into their own end zone and they recover. One point would be awarded [to the offense], instead of the two points that are normally awarded for safeties. Although the offense would still kick off, since they just scored a touchdown.[8]
This scenario would cover a situation where, for example, an offensive player fumbles the ball short of the goal line on a 2-point try, a defensive player knocks the loose ball into the end zone, and a co-defender falls on it to prevent an offensive player from retrieving it for a two-point conversion. The offense would receive one point for the conversion safety, and then they would kick off as they normally would after a touchdown.

Zorn just said on the Radio that only three guys currently on the Redskins offense could start for the Seahawks... Cooley, Moss and Portis. He's taking shots at the front office for giving him crap talent to work with. Notice he didn't metion JC. He knows he is gone and is going out guns a blazin, telling his side, medium style. I feel bad for him.

I think one thing is for sure, the Bye week means Bye-Bye for Jim Zorn.

Jim Zorn is going to leave this town a folk hero. Obviously he wants to create a situation where Danny Boy gets so pissed he fires him (versus losing a big payday by quitting). I have to give Zorny some credit. He can be a douchebag, too, when the situation warrants it.
