With all of the drama involved with parking in Fairfax County, I need to know the best place to park my car.

Please park in a tow-away zone.

FFX homeowners just love it when you park in their yards. It's free plus there are always spaces available.

Reston Town Center during the week. If you do it right, you get a free sunscreen for your windshield.

Ok serious answer-

back in the day, there were many "cuts" around here to park at...lover's lanes so to speak. Probably at least one good hiding spot in each neighborhood.

Now since everything is developed and so many nosy neighbors with cameras and cell phones that record video and cops lurking about, one cannot simply park somewhere and breathe. Not even at the parks, for example, any of the NVRPA parks have cops riding through various times during the day. I know to "keep the peace" and it is a free country and if one wants to sit in their car all day at a public location it is your right- but i personally have been asked by a cop why i was sitting there 2 hours later like i was not allowed to be there in broad daylight and I was by myself just napping to get away from the wife WTF?

It is now a police state- so only privacy you get anymore is in your house- and now even your samsung TV/facebook on your phone/google/amazon echo/etc are listening in- so good luck with that.

Sometimes a man needs to sit alone for awhile and breathe in his car- no more taking the chevy to the levy because there are 10 security cameras on you and a rent a cop telling you to move along even though you are technically "allowed" to be there they make you move for "security reasons". Bullshit.

Ok I'm done here.

Bucket seats with consoles in the middle mean that most modern cars suck for parking. Better to actually go to a park if you can't go back to your place or hers.

That is why I drive a 2500 Silverado 4 door 4x4 with a bench seat and column shifter.

Most men don't know how to react when I pull off of the road, drive up into the bushes, and pull up my skirt.

Nice to see there are still a few women like you in Fairfax County. Thought I was going to have to move to at least King George County for that.

The best place used to be Parkington mall in Arlington before they closed it in and it became Ballston Mall.

Other than that, the Arthur Treacher's at Fairfax Circle parking lot always had great parking - really wide spots and easy to get in and out.
