I used a flip phone for years. Rarely texted on the dumb thing because it was such a pain to do.

Then I broke down and finally got a "real" phone. I now text all the time. Sooo much easier. I even use the GPS app in the car when I'm driving somewhere new.

I still have a landline.

I still use a flip phone too. Actually gets better reception than all of my friends smart phones. The money I save I spend on gunpowder, lead, and primers for making ammunition. When ISIS crashes the cell phone system you will be SOL, but I'll be set.

Think how much time you save in your day by not owning a Smart Phone.

I also have a land line thru Cox but wish I didn't. They are crooks as they give you the bundle plan but you don't save anything by opting out of your land line.

I used one up until just a few years ago. I never butt-dialed anyone, it was still working after a decade of service, and the battery lasted a week between charges. You could drop it off a cliff and it would still work.

Yeah, it was kind of funny how we went through a decade of worrying about phone battery life, finally got it to where we could stop worrying about it, and then all got smartphones--and were back where we started on the battery thing. Worse, most of 'em don't even let you swap batteries, so you can't just carry a spare.
