No kidding it isn't popular amongst Hispanics. There has not been a single viable charge of profiling against any officer in regards to the immigration policy. And those stats only prove my point. Illegals who do commit a crime are not likely out to rape or murder (but they do get drunk and fight or steal things to sell for money) If you just robbed a bank and were making your get-a-way, you wouldn't stop to call the police if you saw a person being assaulted right? Yes that is an extreme example, but they are here illegally and should be hesitant to call the police. If they are legal, what do they have to be afraid of? I know things will never change around here. It will most likely get worse. I grew up here and actually care about my state and country. There are too many transplants and "blow-and-goes" (people who come here to work for a few years then move on) in this area to stand up and do anything about it.
