speeding ticket--pay or driving school?

so i got my first speeding ticket, and the guy reccomended that i go to traffic court and take like driving class or something, and it gets taken off my record. i dont know specifics on what my options are, but i am a minor if it makes a difference (probably does).


what u think i should do, and if anyone knows about what options i have, thatd be cool too.

If you are a minor (I think it's actually under 20) you MUST complete traffic school after a pointable offense. Failure to do so will result in your license being suspended. The judge will notify you of this if you take it to court, and you'll get a letter from the DMV.

What if you're over 20 and it's your first offense...is driving school worth it?

If the option is to take the driving class for the charge being dropped take the class. At least the insurance company cant screw you with higher rates. Once the charge is dismissed you will have a clean record if that is your first ticket.
The class is also offered over the internet so you dont have to sit in a class filled with homer simpsons and non english speaking no bath taking people.

I believe under-20 folks have to take the live version of the class, not sure on that though.

Nope, I saw him the other day. He’s doing ok, but his dad died of AIDS recently.
