The only information FCPD has released is that a teenaged male was shot in the 6600 Block of The Parkway in the Groveton area and is in the hospital in stable condition.

That is why the parents/kids that are not here legally need to go back. They are ruining our schools and neighborhoods. The tax payers kids get less out of public school and have to pay for it all. Look at the new budget for FCPS.

Just heard on the radio that some people drove by a police cruiser on the east side of the county and fired off a number of rounds from a moving vehicle into the cruiser. No word on any injuries. Anyone hear the same thing or can confirm? Drive-by's common in that area? Protesters maybe? It was NOT the shooting on the 6600 block of the parkway in the groveton area last night at 1 AM. That involved a possibly drug related shooting resulting in what was described as a kid being the victim.

Shots were fired early Monday at a police cruiser in Fairfax County, and missed an officer. Authorities are searching for the assailant and a white car.
The incident happened around midnight near Georgetown Pike and Walker Lane in the Great Falls area, according to Fairfax County Police.
Officials said one bullet hit the hood of the vehicle and another the rear panel on the passenger side, according to a tweet.
The suspect and perhaps others were in a white four-door sedan from more than a decade ago, police said. The car is a Toyota or Mazda with a possible window shattered on the passenger side. The vehicle has black door molding, police said.
The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Georgetown Pike in the Great Falls area.

It is pronounced "Tuh - hee" parkway. T'he originally had an apostrophe, so it was "T'he Pkwy".
