I don't understand the attraction of TJ...my son and 2 daughters all went to Robinson. 1 got a full academic scholarship to W&M, another got a full academic scholarship to UVA and another got a full academic scholarship to UNC. Not a single one of them was a GT student and none of them took a single AP class...

By prep, you mean 24x7x365 advanced AP classes projected in 4k up the vagina and through the cervix onto the wall of the womb. There is a test as soon as the baby is born. If it passes it can live a "normal" life and go to TJ, if it fails it must immediately go to the work camps in South Korea making Samsung devices.

It's nature's way.

It's just typical NOVA bullshit. I went to crappy DOD schools my entire life and got into GW on a full ride.

No one cares where you went to HS. No one.

At the lower echelons of life it may not matter. But if you are being interviewed for a job at Goldman and the guy interviewing you went to Stuy and you went to TJ, it helps. It really does. From Goldman it's an easy hop to a top hedge fund. True story. Same for John Hopkins med school. It helps too. At the top, they look at the entire package and academic record. I'm sure for GW and UVA grads and for some bullshit fed or contractor job it doesn't matter.
