Oakton girls varsity basketball team

11 of 12 players suspended for shoplifting when at tournament in Arizona over Holiday break. Was 5 games but now seems to be only 3??
How can they only have to miss 3 games? Should this be at the least 30 day suspension? Hard to believe coach Priester thinks this is a fair punishment

So 11 of 12 players go on shoplifting spree and the punishment is only 3 games? How could this be possible? Oh yea, it's Priester's team. What are we teaching players but this little slap on the wrist? Now hearing that any signs or chants from crowds about this is being stopped at games? They deserve anything they get. They did this to themselves. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Where have our morals gone?

Sounds like SOP to me. At my kids' old HS two lacrosse players were caught drinking after the game. One player was a so-so JV player and was kicked off the team. The other player was starting varsity and it was determined there was insufficient evidence to merit any disciplinary action. The varsity coach was the one who got to decide, and the varsity team was considered a possible contender for state champions. Justice is not blind. It always takes into account its own self interests.
