Gerry Connolly, sidelined from any meaningful role in legislating, issues far-left talking points
A week after admitting that Barbara Comstock is the only Northern Virginia legislator who can secure more funding for Metro, Gerry Connolly is at it again.
According to Mary Ann Barton, writing for Patch, after being sidelined from any meaningful role in legislating, Connolly has been reduced to a messenger boy for far-left talking points.
Shortly after President-elect Trump described all the actions he was taking to remove himself from managing his vast business holdings, appoint ethics enforcers at the highest levels of his organizations, and donate profits from any foreign leader who stays at his hotels, Connolly issued a non-nonsensical statement that Trump's initiatives "fall far short of what American public demands."

Connolly, like others on the far left, demands that Trump divest himself from his own name. Connolly's statement was ignored by reputable news organizations.
Barton's article did not address why Connolly's demands were stupid.
