Hey, if you're already too drunk to figure out that knowing there is going to be a checkpoint somewhere in the sully district between 11:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m., there's no helping you!

You probably should make sure you bar hop every bar within the borders of Sully district, and make sure you drive all the major roads there.

I know I'm too late for a prediction that could be eligible for winning the grand prize, but, I can still make my prediction for fun:

drivers who are delayed in order to satisfy MADD: 347

drunk drivers caught: 2

Misc infractions: 8

And I think tonight, one of the eight miscellaneous infractions is going to be some guy who is late on his child support.

But of course, he will also be one of the DUI's. He posts on this site as "twatface".

DUI/DWI lottery rules, Section 4 Subsection C paragraph 4, Point D states:

Entries will be accepted until a press release is issued by the FCPD or some other news regarding the checkpoint is disseminated by the legitimate media"

A press release is usually issued Monday morning after the checkpoint. So you are fine timing-wise.

FUCK!

I thought I played this week. I was going to guess 670, 2 DUI's and 6.

Come on, they couldn't find two DUI's? I spent Friday night driving all around that roadblock trying to get people hammered. Bought everybody at O'Toole's at least 20 rounds. Hell, I even drove through three times myself!

No one won, oh well. As a county we probably spent around $10k on that contest and all we got was something little like a single plate expiration charge or something.

yeah usually they get a lot of expired plate/inspection tickets. They only got one! What a waste of resources.

More Useless Police Operations (Remember that the State ABC/Troopers duplicate these absurd entrapment efforts) Plus, if a Police Cadet is used as a "decoy" - aren't cadets 21 years old?

Shoulder Tap Operation in Fair Oaks District
On Tuesday, August 5, during the evening hours, members of the Fair Oaks District Station Neighborhood Patrol Unit, along with a member of the Operations Support Bureau, conducted a “Shoulder Tap” operation in the Chantilly and Herndon areas of Fairfax County. This undercover operation is part of the ongoing Youth Alcohol/Business Compliance enforcement campaign.

Fairfax County Police cadets dressed in plain clothes attempt to have adults purchase alcohol for them in violation of Virginia State Code 4.1-306. The locations of enforcement for this operation were parking lots outside businesses that possess state ABC licenses to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption off premises. The cadets were advised to approach adults and ask them to buy alcohol for them. If asked their age by the adult, the cadets were told to respond with their true age. If the illegal purchase of alcohol took place, a plain clothes officer watching the transaction would notify a nearby uniformed officer who would then place appropriate charges against the adult.

As a result of this operation, 68 adults were approached. Two arrests were made for illegal purchase of alcohol at one location:

7-Eleven Store 4086 Majestic Lane, Chantilly

The “Shoulder Tap” operation was conducted using two teams, each consisting of one plain clothes officer, one uniformed officer and one cadet.

During the operation several citizens contacted the police department, or approached a uniformed officer in the parking lot to advise us of illegal activity taking place in front of the particular business.
