'Flip or Flop' stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa split

One of HGTV's most popular couples are now a house divided.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa have reportedly split after seven years of marriage.
The couple are the stars of HGTV's "Flip or Flop" and married in 2009.

"Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage," the pair said in the statement to People magazine. "We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed."

HGTV released a statement to CNN in which the network said they "admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina's great work on 'Flip or Flop.'"

"When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children," the HGTV statement said. "HGTV is currently airing episodes of 'Flip or Flop' and the series will continue production as scheduled."

The couple are the parents of 6-year-old daughter Taylor and one-year-old son Brayden.

The pair said they are currently evaluating their marriage and plan to continue working together professionally and in the best interest of their children.

We have been spoon feeding these amateur's for years so that they can look like real actors. Now we are extremely pissed off that since she wouldn't give it up, and he couldn't have a normal fling, they have jeopardized a cash cow putting hundreds of people's jobs, and our ridiculously high profit margins at risk.

HGTV is going to try to salvage this fucking disaster, and hope that they can continue filming together without impaling each other with lawn tools from the set. The 6 year old started the decline of the marriage, and the one year old pushed it over the edge. The little emblems on Christiana's sweaters said "Frigidaire". The children will both need years of therapy after these two finish using them as pawns. The pair are trying to work out a schedule so that they can film episodes that makes it look like they are working together, even though they are only on the set on alternate days.
