Stolen Moped!!
Posted by: KG ()
Date: September 14, 2009 06:50PM

My moped along with others around the area have come up missing. I am very pissed off about my situation. If you or anyone has seen someone riding a new Tomos moped in your area, please post a reply to this. It is Silver with Black wheels/rims and will be pretty loud, it can also go over 40mph and has no decals execpt for the word "Tomos" on the back of the seat. The right sidecover to the engine will be missing and the exhaust will look like it has been custom built. Please, please, please if you have seen it or anything like it, reply!

It looks like that except it doesnt have the gas tank up top. The silver moped here is exactly like mine but mine doesnt have the storage case on the back. The black moped that is also attached shows what my exhaust looks like.

Yes I have reported it to the cops and they have placed it into the stolen vehicles category. I hope that I can catch the thief riding it one day so I can get the cops on their ass. There are multiple areas that the VIN number are located on the bike so I can easily tell if it is mine or not.

Why would you put a custom exhaust on a moped?

Re: Stolen Moped!!

It's a biturbo exhaust. I welded it in a few spots because it was a little bent when I got it... The post says "looks like" it is a custom built exhaust.

Why would you put a different exhaust on a car? The same reason applies for any motor. Better air flow creates better combustion and allows the engine to be more efficient. Anyway, I just wanted to restate my reasons for posting in the first place: If anyone has any information on the moped that someone stole from my apartment, please let me know. Thanks

If that thing is a 2-stroke, you better watch out messing with the exhaust.

I worked at a Suzuki MC dealer years ago, and iiots would take the baffles out of the exhaust because it "sounded cool". It also would burn a hole right in the top of the piston....

The chances of anyone on this site seeing your moped are slim, however if you say what area it was stolen from it could help.

I thought it was just the kids with their $3,000 used cars putting $12,000 in mods on them.

So, did the exhaust cost more than the moped?

The function of conservatives is not to meet every liberal program or scheme with a denunciation or a destructive counterscheme, but rather to weigh its advantages and defects, supporting the first and challenging the second. A declaration of ideological warfare against liberalism is by its nature profoundly unconservative. It meets perceived radicalism with a counterradicalism of its own.

I had a moped that was stolen back in like 2002. It sucked...I really like that thing and it had cost like $800. Anyway....I reported it to the police, but they didnt do jack shit about it. He even told me this shit happens all the time (and still does I guess) and that the chance of finding it was slim. It was def stolen by some kids...

its probably half way to Oaxaca by now. in the back of a red pickup, with 7 other mopeds and bicycles, towing another car. probably an older GMC with a cracked side mirror on the passenger side. and there is definitely no huge scratch running down the drivers side of it either. nope, not at all

How did this thread get this long without that observation? What a letdown FFXU has become.

I'm not the one driving a moped. My front bumper is worth more then your moped. Get over it its gone probably in pg county by now.

KG!

I found your moped!!! I was driving through the southeast area of DC and saw it. Since I was driving through the ghetto, I didn't want to get out of my nice air-conditioned car to put in the back of my truck but I took a picture for you.

It's at the corner of Southern Avenue and 9th Street SE.

I bet Francis stole it but panicked and sold it off to someone involved in making movies. I suggest you kiss Dottie good bye, get out your giant thumb prop, and hitch hike across the country until you find your bike.

Mopeds are a highly prized commodity among people who are not able to get a drivers license, but need transportation other than a bicycle.

In the county, there is no requirement to register, insure or license a moped, even when driven on public roads. Also, it's an inexpensive form of round-town transportation, making it a popular vehicle when gas prices reached the $4.00+.

Unfortunately, mopeds are treated like bicycles when reported stolen. They are easy to steal, hide and alter by painting or adding accessories.

Although a little late for advice, a couple of my neighbors bought mopeds and the first thing they did was re-arrange the gears. I'm not sure how they did this, only that high gear was in the first gear position, causing the engine to sputter and stall when engaged making it impossible for someone not familiar with the alteration to drive the moped.

I hope you are able to find your moped and nail the person who stole it.

Ok, ok... Let's put the homophobic/racist remarks behind us. I know, and thanks to all of you fuckin children out there, that a stupid nig or an illegal beaner came up to my moped and said to his other (possibly the rapist down the street from my apartment that was caught for choking out a bitch by my dumpster) "Hey mang, don't you think that this sweet ride might make our retarded culture seem more educated?" The over-testosteroned fuckin beaner probably said, "Yeah dude, you should totally do something that will get you deported cause there is nothing that our disgusting egg-shaped beaner chicks dig more than a guy who couldn't make it in a country where he didn't actually exist." I know what you're thinking: This might actually be a breakthrough for someone who seems as nice as I came off as... In fact I knew it was some trailer trash fuckstick. From what I've gathered here on fairfax underground, the general population hates the incoming population as much as I do. You know what population that is... Thank you RestonLass! I hope to find the piece of shit that stole my possession and stick my glock in his(or her) mouth and politely ask for my moped back. Hopefully my property will come back soon. as of now, it isn't even about the moped. It is about property that was taken from my home. By some fuckin idiot that assumed that it was the way of life in the United States just as it was in Mexico, or Oaxaca, or Honduras, or whatever southern hispanic country you just learned about in 6th grade geography. I am on the same side as everyone who has posted on this thread. All I want to do is find the fucking moron who thought this was Juarez and send them back to wherever they fucking came from!

We could care less about your moped.

Hey mang, don't you think that this sweet ride might make our retarded culture seem more educated?

Slovenian moped = trash

I hope to find the piece of shit that stole my possession and stick my glock in his(or her) mouth and politely ask for my moped back

No glock owner would drive a fucking moped.

Are you serious?

That doesn't make anyone sound like they are correct since they are synonyms... unless of course I'm omitting the fact that I'm new to this whole forum shit and do not yet understand the "inside jokes." If the latter is the case then I apologize for interfering with the progression of retardation.

You DO need a Valid Driver's License to legally operate one on a Public Road however. In other words, you need to be 16 and Licensed (Is it 16 1/2 now?).
