Christopher Suprun is one of Never Forget Foundation's founding members. His career has spanned more than twenty years as a paramedic/firefighter and he has served on numerous career incidents including the September 11 attack on the Pentagon, Hurricane Katrina, to school shootings, and many others.

Suprun still works the streets, most recently as a flight paramedic and is former Chairman of the EMS for Children National Resource Center Advisory Council. He has previously been affiliated as an Adjunct Instructor in Emergency Medicine for The George Washington University. As we approach the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies our thoughts go to the lives that were lost and the ones who lost loved ones that day. As each year passes details and memories have diminished and our new generation of youth has no idea the devastation America faced just 13 years ago. Ground Zero has been cleaned and rebuilt. Remnants are now 9/11 museum artifacts and names of the fallen have been etched into a memorial for those who would like to visit and pay their respects. What about our new generation that is distant from the effects of 9/11 and who view this day as nothing more than a sad moment in history?

For 9/11 Responder Christopher Suprun and his colleagues from the FDNY (Fire Department of New York) those moments are not a distant time in history and will never be forgotten. Never Forget Foundation 501 (c) (3) was formed after Suprun and his colleagues shared experiences and realized they shared a concern that the youth of America were not educated on 9/11 and how to successfully respond to emergency situations. They also realized that they shared concerns for public education and how students were lacking the guidance to applying the right tools for success in life. Lessons that made the 9/11 response teams successful are being used as models for Never Forget Foundation to teach youth to overcome daily challenges and emergency situations.

Christopher Suprun is a twenty year paramedic/firefighter who responded to the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11, the Washington area sniper, and also Hurricane Katrina. It shows he was, at the time this story aired on WFAA, a paramedic with Air Methods air ambulance service. But Christina Brodsly, a spokeswoman for that company, said he is not an employee there.

Suprun also claims to currently be a paramedic with Freedom EMS in Dallas. But records from the Texas Department of State Health Services indicate there's no such company. A firm with that name used to exist in Houston, but it went out of business in 2008, according to DSHS.

Turns out, federal court records show Suprun has spent the last five years in bankruptcy while his résumé says he was working. He even collected unemployment during part of it, court records show. Suprun was just released from bankruptcy supervision this month.

Suprun declined to comment on the report.
