The UNIMPRESSIVE Steve Lockard

Here he is, resplendent in his glory.

He seems to be nothing more than a paper pusher.

But, it seems to be a better use of funds to give him Garza's job, but at his current compensation than hire someone else who will use FCPS as a departure point and probably get a half a million dollar compensation package.

While we are at it, though, eliminate Lockard's current position, as there are too many do nothing administration types in FCPS eating up money that they do not have.

we got so many challenges at FCPS - someone must gain control of the culture and lead a revolution to focus on teachers and teaching. Get rid of the administrators and hangers on and consultants for everything. Focus the School Board on getting results. More teachers in the classroom and fewer/less of everything else. Lockard doesn't look like the guy to do it...

Garza did not accomplish this, and now she's bailed. The current school board, for the most part, is focused on social initiatives and empire building. The failure of the meals tax was a vote of no confidence on FCPS. Now FCPS has no choice but to start making drastic cuts.

Lockard doesn't look like the guy to do much of anything except warm a chair and collect a paycheck (and probably a nice one). Why are we keeping him around?

Total bullshit. Just because the same handful of citizens like Koshka have a biweekly aneurysm about a single SB policy doesn't mean it is their primary focus. For the most part, they focus on the day-to-day business of education, which the rabble-rousers ignore because all they care about in life are transgendered bathrooms.

For the most part members of this School Board are all about politics, being SJW's and use membership on the board as a stepping stone to other political offices. The kids and education are not their priorities.

They lost the meals tax support because they are not trusted. It was an image problem. I've sat in the meetings, they are an arrogant bunch.

Transgender bathrooms aside, Koshka makes good points-such as the many contracting irregularities at FCPS. They seem to like to give people sole source contracts without proper screening. One really does wonder where all of the money goes and of course the fact that Karen Garza got a job with $300,000/year contract recipient Battelle for Kids is the source of many, many questions.

Has the School Board answered any of Koshka's questions? They seemed like reasonable questions - even if the dramatics were a bit overdone...
