Please, I do not use FFXU all that much, but if there is anybody in this community who may be able to help me or redirect me with suggestions for my current situation I would deeply appreciate it. I am a local college student and full-time worker currently facing the reality of being evicted from my home unless I can raise the remainder of my rent payment within the next week's time. I wish I could explain in words what I am going through right now, my financial struggles have run me into a brick wall... I am an extremely hard worker in all assets (finished with a 3.9 GPA last semester) and work a maintenance job for 8 hours a day in addition to a full-time class schedule during the mornings. My paychecks are not enough to cover my expenses and I am without support of my family. I am just using this platform so I can reach an audience beyond the scammers on Craigslist. If you are local and have any short-term, odd-job opportunities or anything that may contribute to the revival of my situation, or know of the best available resources that would help my situation, I am desperately asking for your help. I don't have any solutions for you, but I know how you got in this mess, if you live alone in this area, that's you're problem. People in your situation should have roommates to help pay rent. You may want to find some roommates fast, and have them pay down payments,although that might not be enough.also, be prepared for bs answers on this forum.

Hey OP, I feel for you man and I could easily give you a thousand bucks but I don't think a quick bailout is going to help you in the long run. I was in a situation like yours many years ago and I found that living in my car was a great way to save money. I spent lots of time at various libraries in several different counties, this gives you hours of free shelter and bathroom use while you study for school. As for showering you can walk into most male dorms at GMU and take a shower or go to NVCC and use the showers at the athletic facilities.
As for sleeping in the car you need a good sleeping bag, hat and gloves. I often spent the night in underground parking garages in the Tysons area. Those big office buildings have parking garages that stay 15 to 20 degrees warmer than the outside temperature at the time.
Picking up a part time job in the food service industry can really help with feeding yourself as well.

Probably a troll post but if real, I at least commend you for asking for work, and not just a donation.

Maybe you could get a rake and go door to door to see if anyone needs leaves raked this time of year. Also, I believe there are jobs to be had with UPS and FedEx as a package expediter due to increased holiday volumes. Either way it sounds like you need to downgrade your standard of living for a while until you get on a better position financially.

You have a house and mortgage? Put an ad in Craigslist for some roommates. or sell the house and move into a room in a house-sharing situation until you get through school and get a decent job. You need to find a situation that costs less than your income.
