I know right?! If I was a professor I would feel like you didn't take my class seriously. If I was your professor I would have given you points for five pages, but 7 pages when I asked for 8 is just lazy.

Take any Accounting professor or Marketing professor at Tech, JMU, Radford, VCU, etc. and they wouldn't last long in the real world.

Pro Tip #2: If font size is dictated, fiddle with kerning, line spacing, margins, spacing between words, spacing between paragraphs, turn off hyphenation, and add a bunch of sub-headings to stretch it to 8 pages. That's what newspapers do to fill opinion columns.

Grading should be based on content, not strict enforcement of somewhat petty rules. She sounds dumb, or a control freak.

I can understand taking a half a grade, or one grade off, ie from B to C or whatever, but not a "0."

I tried to tell my students that when they got to college they needed to follow the rubric or else suffer the grade they get!

First semester first year of college my English professor gave us an assignment with several requirements, including length. After we turned them in the teacher read us the one she said was the best. It was very good, but it only met one of the teacher's requirements. The lesson we learned was if you want to succeed, find out what the real rules are.

My son is 4 and by the time he goes to college, it will not be a physical location, but online.

90% of colleges indoctrinate students to lean left.
Teacher unions will be extinct around this time too.

Most of today’s college students attend bc of how the student loan industry loans out $$$ to whomever.

The easiest ones to manipulate to socialist ways are lower tier schools like GMU.
