I hate how teachers think they need a raise

Its funny how teachers think they need a raise, when they only work 180 days a year. not counting snow days and sick days and personal days, and meetings. They only worked about 7-8 hours a day...

I can't stand it. You get a decent salary for working 9 months. You can pick to be paid over 12 months and you have plenty of opportunities for additional income. Sports, tutoring, summer school etc. So over the bitching. How about the cafeteria workers, janitors... They are the ones who actually need a raise!

FCPS abolished Summer Pay years ago.

Some financial institutions will deduct a portion of pay and hold it til summer, but that has NOTHING to do with FCPS. It's like any agreement a private individual can enter into with their private financial institution.

It's actually better than the old FCPS Summer Pay, seeing as you get a tiny bit of interest on your money.

Anybody who says that they don't understand why teachers feel they need to get a raise doesn't know anything about what teachers do day in and day out. You're a bunch of idiots that are probably lowlifes that sit around and smoke dope all day and can't get a damn job to begin with.
