Clifton Elementary, Another Break In

Reopen Clifton Elementary because once again, and I've lived here years, another burglary at this school. Multiple police and school security guards there now. Looks like they caught the burglars, but let's reopen it again.

Reopening Clifton Elementary is not in the FCPS Master Plan, Stan.

I thought Clifton was a "good neighborhood". What happened?

1. How did the Police find out? Is the school that has been closed for years still have a security system that is monitored or did a neighbor notice and call them?

2. What is left in the school to be "burgled"?

the scho is closed, but is still owned by FCPS thus still under Security Monitoring like any and all other sites. It is still a crime to break and enter a closed building

Abandoned buildings are an 'attractive nuisance' and a magnet for trouble.

The school is armed with a top notch security system. One of my friends works as a school officer, and let me know these schools have very highly advanced technology. There are movement sensors, glass breaking alarms, door alarms and other systems in place that not only protect Clifton ES.

I wish her well, as there are only a few uniformed personnel left. They handle all kinds of calls, and the Clifton one led to criminal charges.

Guessing the people they caught were explorers? Seems like a lot of caution/security for what is apparently a decaying building not fit to reopen.
