No site recommendations. This is illegal in the US, downloading copyrighted music and movies for free. Also alot of the torrent sites are infected with malware.

94Mcj is correct that many of the sites that let you search for torrents are malware-infested, but the torrent itself is just a pointer: the actual downloads come from peer sites. Just don't download anything other than a torrent, and then let Bitorrent (or whatever client you use) have at it.

When I switched to android I needed to re-download a lot of music that was itunes DRM (this was a few years back) because they wanted $ to remove the drm...and all I wanted was fucking generic mp3s for my android phone.

Since they vpn encrypts your data and masks your IP, your isp has no idea what you are doing. Sure a huge amount of data is being moved...you could be steaming a movie for all they know.

I thought torrents were long dead and no one uses them, but I recently noticed that I use them myself. It's a handy thing, to be honest.

Torrents for music and movies are the same platforms. If the themes of these sites are different, then there are also those that combine all of these. I call them the pirate bay and that is a great name for these torrents. I use them quite often because I have the need to watch my favorite movies and shows in great quality for free.
