The facts are that the County badly needs the revenue, and that it is therefore important to pass the meals tax. It amounts to free money for Fairfax residents. How can anyone want to vote against that?

"Free money for Fairfax residents??" It is a 4% additional tax on meals and all prepared food at grocery stores. How is any of that free??
I pay enough in taxes. I'm voting no and any responsible person would also vote no.
No incentive for the FC government to become efficient and spend the additional money wisely. Just more money for a growing bureaucracy.
Look at your grocery receipt today...try to figure it out. Not easy.

What nonsense. You do realize the tax applies to ALL diners and not just those from outside the county. Are you a Bernie backer? Nothing is free in life.
