The epa is the modern "nuclear scare" that the baby boomer generation grew up with. The real difference is that they were much more likely to actually die from a nuclear attack then we are going to be killed by these warnings of our untimely demise by chemicals in our environment. So c6 is 92ppb instead of 29ppb. That's a difference of 63 ppb. So let's take that number into proper context. If you streched a tape measure from Washington DC to LA, that number represents a little over a 1/8th of a 1 inch mark on the tape. Yet the environment group sounding the alarm says"it is over three times the acceptable levels". It sounds much more ominous that way I suppose. They also makes it clear that there is no solid evidence that this is actually deadly. Only that it may be harmful. Now I don't want anything in the water that shouldn't be there. But if this is the best that this environmental group can do, then I have to question who they are, the methods of their testing, and what their true motives are.
