Burger king is pretty good. You can get both a big mac and a triple cheesburger from mcdonalds for 5 bucks though.

Sweetwater sucks. Ordered a burger there once. It came out with shredded taco cheese on it that wasn't even melted. The rest of the burger was barely room temperature. WTF? I sent it back and left. The manager tried to get me to stay indicating he'd remake it for free and he wanted to give me some sort of gift card to come in again. Told him if his kitchen can't even manage to get a simple burger right, there was no way in hell I'm coming back to try the rest of his menu.

Went over to Wendy's and grabbed a burger. Wasn't the best, but it was hot and the cheese was melted.

For a good quick burger, go to an Elevation or Smashburger. Citizen Burger is worth a try too.

I'm sure some Economist could come up with a util-based analysis, involving, inter alia, the amount of time you have.

As an amateur, here's my stab:

You have 5 minutes:

Burger King
Wendy's
McDonalds

You have 10 minutes:

5 Guys
Foster's
Freddies
I've never been to Smash Burger. I should give them a try.

You have 15 minutes:

Fuddruckers
Hard Times

You have 20+ minutes:

Any place that has a real grill and a professional cooking the meat.

Now, I defy any Economist to put this into an Equation (using variables).

I wouldn't call them the 'best' but Outback's are pretty good in that same category. Better than their steaks on a relative basis.

Freddy's "Staeakburgers" and Smash Burger are pretty good. Freddy's fries are nice!

Social Burger in Vienna has been spot on everytime I order from them. Adding bacon, egg, and some toppings.. A+

In addition to the meth problem, the cooks at Glory Days routinely jack off on the burgers. Do not go there. You will be eating sperm. They call it "The Mike Dodson Special."

The juicy lucy from pizzarama is the best burger. One full pound of burger meat with the cheese cooked on the inside of the burger. They season it with garlic salt and a few other seasonings. Cut it in half to share with a friend.

You need to ask fosters to toast the bun. It makes the burger even better.

U_burger(t) = U_burger_t0 * f(t)

The utility of the burger (assuming you can get it instantly) is modified by some back-off function f(). f() could be exponential back-off with a constant or possibly linear. I would need some more numbers to make a first fit.

Tough to find a Big Boy platter these days, so I'd probably go with Sweetwater, though other GAR places serve the same thing. Contrary to the up-thread opinion of some probably fired-from-GAR stooge-fuck, the burger and bun are both excellent, as are the fries. It's my fallback order when I don't feel like having a larger meal.

The burgers at Amphora are similar and also quite tasty. They have house versions, or you can build your own from dozens of cheeses, sauces, and toppings of all kinds. You'll be full when you leave.

I was surprised no one else said they were the best. I agree with you. The one at Pan Am has great chefs. I agree I don't pay extra for the prime but their bacon cheeseburger is the bomb. And on mondays they are cheaper so it's a bonus.

Some may not agree, however, the Vienna Inn actually has a good hamburger.

Good meat and very good tomatoes during the Summer, cannot recall if they were able to keep the tomato quality up during the Winter months.

Steak and Cheese is also good.

Fries are awesome.

See for yourself before you complain or talk about mattresses.

Just ten or twelve more years of schooling and you might have learned what a colostomy bag is.

As described, a lukewarm burger with un-melted taco cheese. Fries look a bit undercooked too. Enjoy your slop, fuckmonkey.

The ones at Bobs Big Boy are excellent. Don't know if they are still local, but plenty of locations in other states. The Greek run diners also have good burgers. They're all over Arlington and Fairfax. Very good prices too. Shake Shack is also very very good, and very cheap. Good frozen custard for desert.
