Is Fairfax Underground an Alt-Right Forum?

Can we talk? Or in this case, can I write and you read and maybe comment if you feel the need?

Here’s the deal. I’m an old dog in a world that’s changed so incredibly fast in the past 40 years that I have a hard time keeping up. My first job? It was in a telefax room with toxic-smelling machines, carcinogenic paper and two teletype machines that rattled all day. But I tried and I continue trying, I really do. For example, when I was growing up you were a girl that liked girls or a girl that liked guys or a girl that liked both. Now I find myself on Google weekly trying to figure out what phrases like “intellectually lesbian” means. I mean life, society and norms evolve and change and when you stop learning, you might as well die, right?

The same goes with the political labeling — Democrat, Republican, Conservative, Liberal, Progressive, RINO, DINO, Right, Left, Nationalist, Constitutionalist. I get it — an attempt to button down your beliefs in one word or acronym. Adds a certain cachet rather than just admitting that you don’t “fit” into any one category.

I really DO get it. Labels make us feel special; like we belong to a club. Who doesn’t want to belong to a club? Even I pay $55 to Costco to go twice a year and flash my card, leaving the non-members to gnash their teeth in frustration at not being allowed in. However, a title of “Manager of Facility Services” doesn’t mean that one is not still emptying trash cans and cleaning kitchen areas. In the corporate world, it just means one is in a salaried position and doesn’t get overtime, so one gets the privilege of working more hours than “facility specialists” (whose shortcomings, I might add, will be a black mark in YOUR file).

Ditto for the mind-fogging celebration of “telling it like it is” or “not being politically correct.” It took hundreds of centuries for people to learn the laws of civil discourse, mutual respect and social decency (rather than have every disagreement devolve into a death match) and it really isn’t something that should be revisited. You’re not special — you’re rude and ill-bred. Unfit for civilization. An under-evolved animal. Own it. And oh yeah, you do NOT get to be pissy when someone isn’t politically correct in response. Coins have TWO sides, pal.

AltRight is apparently made up of people that my generation used to call racists, Aryans, the Klan or just white-freak assholes. These people aren’t newly evolved; they’ve been around forever. The only thing that changed was that the evolution of humanity as a whole and society in particular made it wiser for them to keep that “nasty talk” to after-hour beers with like-minded buddies and weekends. Now they’re all over the place. They even went digital, dammit. Thanks, Donald.

While the record of atrocities committed against people of color, Jews, and Muslims to name a few by these self-styled “superior” people is extensive, there’s no concrete record of superior achievements either in quantity or quality. (Sorry, Rep Steve King — historically western Europeans were a freakin’ blight on civilization, destroying and stealing way more than they ever contributed. Sucks to be us.) They’re not smarter, more accomplished, generous, decent or honorable than anybody else. I mean, they might be more wealthy, but a boatload of ‘em inherited it, the rest made their bucks on the backs of people that they oppressed or had a hand in oppressing. Since they haven’t evolved, I’m at a loss to see why they get a new label.

The fact is, the only two reasons they reigned unchecked and “supreme” for a long time is (a) that there were more of them, or they had more guns, or they had more money and (b) they were better about deluding themselves into believing that their societal and political machinations were “God’s will” or for the greater good or whatever else allowed them to lie, cheat, steal, systemically oppress and still look at themselves in the mirror. Well, that’s just not the case anymore. Now there are people of color, non-Christians, non-heterosexuals that have money, or have numbers, or are just as smart (if not smarter) than they are — historically second-class citizens who are figuring out that they can buck the system and win change.

At some point, hopefully sooner rather than later, we’ll all live in a homogeneous society where leaders are chosen on their policies, not their party, color, religion or gender. Too bad, Alties. Get over it. Evolution is necessary. When you stop evolving, you might as well die, because that’s what happens to species that don’t change and adapt. They die off.

But the thing is, we just don’t need a sparkly new label to describe what is as old and unchanged as Roman concrete. These are heinous people. Seriously. They truly believe their way is the only way and they’ll do what it takes to have their way. No compromises. That’s not only disgusting, but it’s dangerous. Since they really haven’t evolved, why bother with a new label that folks like me have to go Google? There are a half dozen applicable, well-used, well-known labels that were fine until two weeks ago — like racists, anarchists, homophobes, xenophobes, Aryans, the Klan or just white-freak assholes. And yah, I’m not being mean. Anyone who thinks that because they were born with white skin they have some divine superiority over anyone else is a freak.

So can we stop? At the very least, can we pick a label that doesn’t sound like something HP help desk advises (“’Press Alt-Right’ repeatedly”). How about we go with something more obvious, like Radical-Whiteists? Just askin’….

Anonymous websites tend to bring out the alt-righters. Though many people see the effects of "diversity" in fairfax county and arent warm and fuzzy about it

What a long-winded pile of shit.

In the future, please limit your racist hate speech to a sentence or two.

OP - You messed up by offending people's choice in politics.

Yes you are right, people do love labels and a sense of community, which is such a joke. People hate bullying but as long as it's about politics or a large amount of people are doing it, bullying is ok.

P.s.
Suicide is now called alt+tab+delete

Is there anything that annoys a liberal more than the tolerance of free, non-PC speech? Why does hearing truth cause libs so much physical pain?

Is it still free speech when you yell "fire" in a crowded theatre?

Alt Right == White Nationalists

White Nationalists == anti-immigrant, anti-women, racist, homophobic pond scum

anti-immigrant, anti-women, racist, homophobic pond scum == Most FFUG Posters

Q.E.D.
Fairfaxunderground == Alt-Right Forum

If there's a fire, yes. But even then, libs would condemn the messenger. #LiberalDenial
