How many of you all went to Target but stop going because you always saw men in the women bathroom?

Maybe it's just living in the DC area, but the last thing I need is political issues mixed in with where I choose to shop. For the most part, business is business, religion is religion, and politics is politics. American's are bat shit crazy and overly sensitive about too many issue's as it is. The last thing we need is a politically activist CEO s using profits from my sales to further their personal agenda. How can they be loyal to target, it's customers, and their political agenda at the same time? So my money will go elsewhere as long as this guy is employed by this company. I may never go into target again. I don't need to. Many other choices that don't make me feel like I m supporting things I may or may not agree with. It may open a very messy door.

I've rarely shopped at target anyway. Their shit isn't any better than what I can find in a Walmart.

The last time I did go to a target, though, I did see a guy coming out of the lady's room. I had forgotten about their new rules about gender identity, so I looked at him kind of quizzically but then went to the electronics to look at TVs.

We haven't stepped foot inside a Target since the bathroom controversy. Dammit, I hate Walmart but that's where we go instead of Target now. Wish these corporations would just leave politics out of it. Won't watch golf or NBA basketball anymore either.

I started going to Target just to dump in the women's room. First just to see if I could, then as matter of habit. Sometimes I will pick up a few items after dropping a deuce. Probably once a week now.

x2 on Target selling the same shit as walmart.

It is just dressed in a fancier package with a more frou-frou name and costs $1 more, made in the same factory.

THe only reason target feels fancier is that stores are purposely kept cleaner and brighter and designed to appeal to young people- and they try to keep young, edgy-looking white black and hispanic people in their teens and 20's on cashier and on the sales floor to make them look "hip" and relegate all the older, non english speaking workers to overnight stock or backroom, opposite of what you see at walmart (habib who can barely speak english would never be on cashier at target!)

Frankly most of the same stuff is in Dollar Tree too! Shop wisely!

Target is where lower middle class white gays shop.

They have anal sex in the bathrooms.

AIDS is all over the toilet seats and sinks.

So, we don't restrict access by registered sex offenders to public bathrooms but, everyone is up in arms about sharing a public bathroom with a transgendered person?

Shopped at the Reston and Sterling Targets at least once a week for years. Have not stepped foot in either since they opened bathrooms and changing rooms to sex offenders (and I don't mean transgenders.) Until they change policy, I'm not going back.

Target employs too many non-whites. Whatever happened to standing for America? Let the blacks and the foreigners start their own businesses, there's no reason Target should be catering to these people. It's not fair to people like us who worked hard for a living.

As a card carrying perv, I can tell you we pervs don't go to Target.
The bathrooms are too clean and not Pervy enough. We are strictly Burger King and Walmart.

Shop at Target regularly. Rarely use the restroom or trying on room - and if people didn't think there was "cross use" in the bathrooms before any policy made public, they are just plain stupid. HonestToGod, really people, get over your self-righteous selves.

Assert what you will, but target just announced that they will be building single family restrooms in all the targets at the cost of 20million. Guess they must be feeling that non existent financial pinch of us poor ignorant intolerant fools concerned for the saftey of our mothers, wife's and daughters. Looks like the claims that only a few objected to the policy may have been overstated and miscalculated. It is also an expensive lesson to the cost of mixing politics and business.

- It's a single-stall bathroom, not a single 'family'.
- It's an expansion to all stores. (The majority already have them.)
- Target is projected to have revenues of 73.79 BILLION this year (up 1 Billion from last year.) That isn't an 'expensive lesson', that's chump change.

But go on ...

I think some people are missing the point, or maybe are ignoring it. For most people it's not the fact that trans people can use the bathroom of their choice, it's that fact that anyone can use any bathroom. So your local 'straight' pervert or child molester can walk into the women's room unchallenged.

I'm a target shareholder, that bought a couple years back when the stock was in the 50's after the credit card info leak.

I hate what target corporate has done. Now instead of associating Target with slightly upscale products compared to their direct competition, people associate it with toilets and the mentally defective. They destroyed shareholder value, in contrast to their fiducary obligations. Of course, I don't own nearly enough shares to change targets mindset, but I would not be surprised if more than a few people raise questions at the next shareholder meeting.

Over 1 million have signed the petition to boycott Target due its bathroom policy. I have not shopped there since the data breach years ago, but the bathroom policy just solidified my position. Due to the number of people concerned with the bathroom policy, Target's financials have been impacted negatively.

My family still no longer shops at target. I dont like that the CEO wants to shove his political agenda down our throats and consider it inappropriate that he is abusing his position by furthering personal beliefs at the expense of shareholders and customers. As long as he holds the position, we'll shop elsewhere.

I agree. I shopped Target occasionally, 6 times a year or so. I never use public rest rooms anyways but I didn't like their policy. The few times I thought about running up there since the policy started, I haven't, screw them. It wasn't a wise move IMO.

Agree the bell ringing is a bit annoying. But what the Salvation Army people are doing is helping down and out people, which is a good thing, including getting people off the street. I still support SA from time to time going in or coming out of the local grocery store or Walmart. More so than other charities I never heard of or question what they really do with their donated money, like paying their executives or their annoying telemarketing operations. But I digress here.
