What happened to pro-FCPS "Clownboy?"

With opposition to the meals tax growing and FCPS (and its advocates) unable to respond to pointed questions, this poster has vanished. Is he in Karen Garza's office, crying?

Everyday more people are on board with the meals tax.

Probably because it's all in your imagination.
I don't see any opposition
I don't see any FCPS unable to respond
I don't see any advocates unable to respond

The pro-meals tax contingent is getting p0wned on their own website.

So far, they can only get 2 restaurants to support it, and neither one is in Fairfax County. In the meantime, grocery stores and the grocery workers' union have joined forces to oppose it, along with at least one major restaurant chain (and they have restaurants in Fairfax).

Combine that with hard hitting evidence that the tax targets seniors and the disabled, and the tax is in serious trouble!

The tax is in trouble with addled TEA Party morons who wish to do away with taxes in general. The sane and rational folks of Fairfax County understand that the County and its needs are growing, and that continuing to dump such a high percentage of the overall tax burden onto County property owners is not a good idea. Let's invite some outsiders to help us out. They come here and use our stuff. Let's ask them to chip in to help pay for some of it.

And once more for all you Chicken Little stooges, restaurants have not closed up and starvation has not been seen among the poor and elderly in aany of these nearby jurisdictions that already have a meals tax. We subsidize them every time we eat there. How about they begin to reciprocate a little?

FCPS will waste any additional funds they get. That's what they do best, spend spend and spend some more. Dining out, travel, conferences, consultants, and activities such as football to placate the helicopter parents.

Cut FCPS by at least 30% and guess what, no one except school administrators and the school board would notice the difference.

Here are some proposed changes:

1) Keep the same # of schools, but go from 5 regions to 3, and eliminate the staff from the 2 eliminated regions.

2) Eliminate the deputy superintendent position, let Garza manage things personally.

3) Set a cap of 2 assistant principals per school, determined by the number of students.

4) Eliminate the student activities office, let each school manage its own activities.

5) Eliminate the director of operations, it is an administrative position, hire someone much cheaper and put them in Garza's office (note that Garza should do extra work for the $2,000/month she gets as housing allowance).

6) Eliminate OCCR. They are not responsive, in fact, the email on their webpage does not even work.

7) Move the program evaluation function to the office of the chief academic officer, and eliminate the managerial position.

What is the difference between the director of operations and the chief operating officer? They sound similar to me. Two people in charge of running the operations of FCPS?
