Trump won't release tax returns, violating longstanding tradition
Posted by: CPA ()
Date: July 27, 2016 11:16AM

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will not be releasing his tax returns, his top aide said Wednesday on “CBS This Morning.”

“Mr. Trump has said that his taxes are under audit and he will not be releasing them,” Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign chairman, said.

Addressing questions about whether Trump has financial ties to Russia, Manafort said Trump’s decision to break with tradition and not release his taxes “has nothing to do with Russia, it has nothing to do with any country other than the United States and his normal tax auditing process.”

It's the media's fault.

Trump is a loser. He has made far less than the Clintons and paid less in taxes. If he releases the fact he only made a few hundred thou a year trading with Russian oligarchs he will look as stupid as he really is. All those jets and suites are owned on borrowed money by his corporations. Trump is a tool.

Trump has the right to not release his tax returns. You have the right to not vote for him.

Interesting. And how can that be as the Clintons don't produce or sell anything tangible to be earning more than a real estate developer?

But I will anyway because the alternative is just that bad. How sad is that for the democrats that their candidate is so shitty non-partisan folks like me are driven to vote for a clown like Trump?

It sets a terrible precedent for the future of American elections. I can understand "wanting to change the system" but Trump is doing it in a way that will only benefit politicians and make the electoral process even less transparent. He should be ashamed for this.

Hillary deletes 33,000 emails while serving as SoS.

Hillary hasn't had a press conference in 8 months.

Hillary's charity had to refile 5 years of tax returns for gross misreporting and mistakes. That still hasn't been competed.

Trump represents at least some hope for real change. Hillary does not. No way will I vote for her.

Real change, like turning our government into an obnoxious reality TV show.

Yeah, that's what America needs. We're not distracted enough by social media, hollywood, and inane television programs. We need someone who can bring that level of cheapness and disrespect into the Oval Office. Real change.

Dude, if you're happy with the way things are going in DC, vote for Hillary. I think Washington DC is broken from top to bottom and needs an enema. Maybe Trump is that enema, maybe not. Hillary is 100% not. No way I vote for her.

Excuse me. When I am president, everyone will pay a lot more attention to the political process because I will be so darn entertaining.

I say it all the time, and you know its true, ENTERTAINING.

Let me make America great again for you.

Well, since they haven't been leaked, the whole Tea bagger narrative of the IRS is an arm of the Democrats has been blown away.

Surprised no one has at least given them to the Russians to leak.

The Clintons didn't release anything. Bill kept his medical check ups while president sealed. Obama has sealed his original birth certificate, his college papers, in fact all documents of his past are sealed. The way you asshole's go after anything Trump, its no wonder he wont release it. But its his money. He doesn't work for the government and doesn't take public assistance, so who cares. And yet most of Hillary's career has been taxpayer funded. She has a foundation with hundreds of millions of dollars that are unaccounted for. I don't know who she would be working for if elected, but I know it won't be for non paying members of this country. And yet your first concern is the tax records of the very public and self funding candidate. Hey kids, what time is it? Its time for kool aid! Drink up.

I hear a lot of people telling me, "release your taxes, release your taxes.."

Excuse me, why would I give ammo to my enemies. They don't like me, well everybody really likes me, I'm YUUUGE with a lot of people. But seriously, why would I want to give my secrets away to people who don't want to vote for me.

Besides, I'm unpredictable. You know its all true, and I say it all the time. "Un-pre-dictable". I don't do tradition.

Anyways, I say Hillary needs to release all her deleted emails. 30,000. Yes Folks, 30,000 that she won't let anyone see. Well, I bet the Russians saw them. That Putin, Ill tell you, his people love him, just like the American People love me.

Nobody likes crooked Hillary. No-Body. Not Even Bill.

There's a reason. Either he doesn't want us to know he's in debt to Russia or he doesn't want us to know he's a "billionaire" who pays little to no taxes. Either way he's shady and shouldn't be allowed to tour the white house, let alone live there.

Why won't Hillary release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs and the rest of her Wall Street pals?

There's a reason. Either she doesn't want us to know what's in them or she said things that would completely undercut her Bernie transformation. Either way she's shady and shouldn't be allowed to tour the white house, let alone live there.

The reason that Hillary doesn't release the text of her speeches Dumb Fuck is that she doesn't have to. This is America. Goldmann Sacks paid for those speeches and that is a private transaction.

Release your transcripts from TRUMP University

If she said anything the least bit contentious, someone would have reported it.

In the mean time, Trump is breaking precedent. Every candidate for 50 years has released his taxes. Want's Trump hiding? Do you want your president in jail?

TRUMP IS A TAX CHEAT.

[I don't know this for a fact, but that's what people who do know are saying. BELIEVE ME!]

If it is true that Trump is a tax cheat, then perhaps he should take a lesson from Hillary. She is much more efficient. She gets her money straight from the treasury as a corrupt government appointee and from illegal donations accepted for future favors to be rendered once you politicaly blind enablers reward her with your votes for her fluent liberal speak. I'll take trump thank you very much. Your liberal logic is weak and ineffctve. Weak minded liberals are already voting for Hillary, so who do you think your persuading? Or are you just trying to fool yourselves as to be blind to just how corrupt your candidate really is?

right back at you, the reason trump doesn't release his tax records is because he does not have to dumb fuck.

just because the last presidents of 50 years have done so does not make it a requirement. There is no law that say he has too so until this he has the right to not do so.

Let's be real here for a second. If Trump releases his tax returns and it shows that he was able to get huge cuts in his taxes due to loopholes is he really going to be the one to blame for that? It's not as though he wasn't paying his taxes, he was just using the system to his advantage, like every other rich person probably does. You'd have to be naive to think that those loopholes were there by accident...theyre not, and I dont see the government rushing to address or change them-I wonder why.... And can anyone honestly say that they wouldn't do the exact same thing?
