Police responded to a report of an assault that took place around 9:40 p.m. at a Dunkin Donuts, located at 2946 Chain Bridge Road. An investigation determined that a group of teenagers had previously been given donuts that would be discarded at the close of business each day. They went to the store on Monday, July 25 and requested more donuts. The employee initially refused several times but told them to return later and he would give them some. Prior to sharing the donuts, he allegedly sprayed them with a cleaning solution that contained bleach. The juveniles ingested anywhere from one bite to a whole donut. When they realized the food may have been tainted, they contacted police.

No one required medical attention. A criminal investigation was launched and is ongoing.

They kept going back asking for free donuts and were refused several times? Just tell them no and to GTFO. Now you're in trouble.

The flour used on those nasty, greasy donuts has already been bleached. A bit more could only be an improvement. Next time tell the kids to screw off, or give them the lousy food unadulterated. This is probably the first time the cretinous employees at this Oakton Dunkin Donuts have ever used any cleaner, so hats off to them for actually finding the stuff.

Virginia Dunkin’ Donuts employee was fired Tuesday after being accused of spraying baked goods with cleaning solution that contained bleach, according to the restaurant chain.

A group of five teens who walked into a Dunkin’ Donuts on Monday night in Fairfax County was hoping for a box of free doughnuts. Fairfax County police spokeswoman Monica Meeks said another clerk had given the teens free doughnuts before at the same location on 2946 Chain Bridge Road in Oakton, Virginia.

But Meeks said the clerk working Monday night resisted, saying it was against company policy. He then told the teens to return, and when the group of five, 14- to 16-year-olds came back, he gave them a box of doughnuts allegedly sprayed with a cleaning solution containing bleach.

“We are aware of the incident involving a crew member at a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in Oakton, Virginia,” a company statement said. “In this instance, we have been informed by the franchise owner that he has terminated the employee involved and is cooperating fully with the local authorities. As this is a pending police matter, it is inappropriate for us to comment further and, as such, any additional questions can be directed to the police department.”

Meeks said two of the teens ate whole doughnuts, the other three each took a bite, which was enough for them to realize the taste was off.

None of the teens was seriously injured. But now the teens parents are deciding whether to pursue charges. Investigators have confiscated the remaining doughnuts as evidence, as prosecutors look into possible charges of misdemeanor assault.

Cops "confiscating" donuts, that's fucking funny. Uh, we need to uh, take these donuts to have them, uh, analyzed......

How "innocent" were those teenagers? Were they threatening or intimidating Dunkin staff in any way? Are they gang members? Any prior arrests?

In any event, Dunkin staff handled it the wrong way. They should have called the cops after the teens made their first demand for free donuts. Now we're all going to be afraid to eat donuts from that Dunkin restaurant.

What ever happened to the word "NO"? This woman is being paid by the hour. No matter how many donuts go out the door, her pay remains unaffected. So what does she care to the point of felony behavior? Jail. Jail Jail Jail. This new judge and jury attitude seems to be becoming more and more prevalent in our society. It needs to be slapped down hard. I'd give her the max to send a message and to make it clear beyond and doubt how misguided her actions truly were.

First the noodles and company cook indecent in Alexandria and now this. Yes, by all means, let's get that $15 minimum wage passes. $ they all deserve a standard of living commensurate wit their obviously overlooked talents.

These dopes came in there hoping to get something for free that was going to be thrown away. Well, of course donuts that have been contaminated with cleaning spray are destined for the trash. But after continued begging for food that was only meant to be trash, they were given what they asked for-free garbage. And now they complain?
