I have seen so many of these vines locally this year

I've seen them in the past, they kind of look like a grape leaf. But I have been pulling them up left right and center this summer. Was it because of a wet spring, or are they invasive? Don't even know what they are.

This. And they're a pain in the ass to get rid of. They usually break if you try to pull them so you don't get the root and they just grow right back.

Not an EPA-approved method but a small squirt of gasoline on the roots will do it. Works better than Roundup-type stuff and doesn't kill everything else around it.

Thanks for the answer! Yes, they are weak and break easily which makes them harder to get out of the ground!

I had some of those rooted around the foundation. I would go out in the spring right after a heavy rain had the ground saturated. Using a mattock its easy to dig down around the plant below where all the side roots are spreading out, then using the mattock to pry them up and break them off, you can pull on them one at a time and they are easier to remove in total.

These often grow along with poison ivy plants so check the area out before you start digging.

I got the poison ivy out the same way but did it over the winter when the leaves are gone. You have to use throw-away gloves and be careful not to get it on your tools .

It is porcelain berry and it is invasive as all hell. Once you see one, expect to see them every year for as long as you are in that location.
