Republicans hate it when people get to vote.

While I support rationale and selective restoration of felons civil rights I applaud this decision by the VA SC. To give blanket and invetted restoration of voting rights was both unprecedented and imprudent. And given the timing unseemly and partisan. Congrats to the SC for being the adults in the room.

Democrats love it when people register to vote and vote illegally.

Republicans can never prove voter fraud and Democrats can never produce the little 90 year old black lady without ID.

Both sound full of shit.

With a Feather Quill, they way the founders had to do it, blotting each signature. NO Auto Pen Allowed Mc Slippery ! In Va If Your A Felon..You Don't Vote! Tough Shit that's the way its been since Va. statehood.

>Democrats love it when people register to vote and vote illegally.

Your damn right about that!

>Republicans hate it when people get to vote.

And your full of shit with that. If your ass can get welfare or anything else you got to show some ID same thing goes with voting unless your personally known to the election officers (Way Back In The Country Exception) and they should sign a affidavit for each such person with the persons name and address that were allowed to vote Once!.

No, Republicans have been out to suppress the vote since they realized back in 2004 that Judis and Teixeira had hit the nail squarely on the head. If eligible poor and minority voters are able to vote at rates comparable to those of eligible well-to-do white voters, the GOP simply goes out of existence.

I thought the Democrats were about smart leadership. Guess they still need the votes of criminals and the ignorant poor. LOL!

While I am in strongly in favor of as many people voting as possible, to blindly restore the voting rights of over 200,000 felons who have lost their rights in the courts is reckless. These are people who have behaved contrary enough towards society so as to loose their freedom, and certain civil rights as decided by our legally elected representatives. Not a few individuals, but a body politic that society has choosen to be our voice. Are these the individuals that we want to shape our governing bodies? They can't make good choices for themselves or for those around them, based on their actions. So is it logical to give them even more opportunity to choose for more people? I've seen an ever increasing tendency for the democrats to use any method, no matter the downside, to win at all cost. It doesn't seem to matter how distasteful and dangerous it may be down the road. Then they turn around and accuse the republicans of committing acts that justify said actions. McCulliff's actions are over the top. The supreme court has a 4 to 4 balance right now, so when they slap him down, it is difficult to claim the decision was made with partisan bias. Democrats appear to have discarded the parts of the constitution that they disagree with, so what's to stop them from treating the supreme court with the same disdain and disregard? As for me, I feel that allowing violent rapest and murders to vote without the due process that is available to them is not in our best interest. Actions not race guide my opinion. Go back to registering voters in the cemeteries. At least they're unable to do us physical harm after the election.

Do you know the difference between a conservative and a progressive court? The conservative court interprets laws based on the legislative history and prior court decisions. The progressive court looks at a law, and if they don't like it, they say it means something entirely different than it's meant since it was enacted.

Progressive courts are unelected and unaccountable legislatures.

Thank God Virginia has a conservative Supreme Court.
