Sure, Trump sucks but he's better than Hillary so I'll vote for him.

Ted Cruz has very few friends anywhere in the country, especially in DC. He will never do shit in terms of getting near the White House.

Ted has thought everything through, which is more than the Donald can say. Ted can play the sympathy card (Trump insulted his wife and father) and then he can play the principle card (he stuck to his conservative principles by not endorsing Trump). It is a gamble, but he needed a Hail Mary to get the nomination in 2020 anyway. He won't be Reagan in 1980 but he could be Nixon in 1968.

I have a friend who lived in Texas for a few years. When the nomination process started, I had never heard of Ted Cruz. Apparently he is well known in the Latin community. Whether you believe it of not, keeping your word in that culture is very important. Memories are long, and if you're branded as untruthful or unreliable, you will be treated accordingly. I was warned early on that ol Ted was not to be trusted. In my book, he has shown this to be true. If I wanted someone in office that I couldn't trust, I'd just vote for Hillary. I will never support Cruz after his behavior in general throughout the nomination process. Too much duplicity and back room behavior for my taste. I hear Venezuela is looking for a new leader. He might fit in well there.
