Virginia Slips in Business Ranking

CNBC, sister network to MSNBC, yearly publishes a ranking of Top States for Business. In the late 2000s Virginia ranked among the best, and scored as #1 for a while. Recent years havw seen slippage, and since McAwful took office we fell to #13. The worst sub-rankings are Cost of Doing Business (#36), Infrastructure (#32), Economy (#30), and Cost of Living (#30).
And so goes the Commonwealth's economy. I guess we deserve it; we voted for it.

Instead of cutting ridiculous costs ($9,000 for a 'keyboard consultant' for the schools), Fairfax is targeting the food industry with a new tax.
Small wonder the state's business ranking is slipping-unless, of course, you happen to be a keyboard consultant.

Sliding to #13 is not the right direction. But ranking 13th out 57 states is really not "Bad for Business."

Anyway, virginia's downward slide is bad, as it has prided itself on being pro business (just look at the pass banks get on nonjudicial foreclosures). These sneaky tax increases are not good, especially when so much money is wasted.

Don't forget job growth. We are and remain below the national average. Of course gov mc awful says it's due to sequestration. Still.
