Monthly Istallments to Dentist

Does any body know of a dentist in the area that will accept monthly payments? I have ppo metlife insurance but have some work that will require more than what I have out of pocket. Would use a credit card but I have a low balance that it already maxed out.

Have you asked your regular dentist if you can work out a payment plan?

What about a Health Savings Account? They come out of your pre-tax income....pretty good deal.

Some of the better dentists can hook you up with Captial One Health Financing - I got $5000 towards massive work last year, and it only amounts to about $160 a month.

Just ask your dentist if they accept a payment plan. My wife had to have a crown put in and the dentist VOLUNTEERED a 3 month payment plan when going over with her what needed to be done. We could have paid it, but shit, why bother if they're going to do that.

Be careful, though. You DO NOT want to have to have your dental work repo'd.

Given the choice between not getting paid at all and stretching the payments over 90-180 days a reputable dental office should try to work with you. Call the office manager and explain your situation - I am sure that you are not the only one in this situation. Worst case you pay an extra $5-10 per month in "finance charges", but so what? If you like the dentist you want to come back and no one wants to lose a patient.
