Maybe a giant GoFundMe page to help pay his legal bills.

The Democrats got what they wanted: knocked him off the national political stage.

The gifts the McDonnells accepted - in return for providing nothing of value - are teeny tiny compared to what Hillary and Bill solicited from Wall Street money firms, China, and the Muslim countries.

Add this to long list of political hack jobs run by Democrat attorney's general. TX in particular is bad.

Look, I don't think what McDonnell did SHOULD be legal BUT anyone with a brain KNEW it was.

Thanks for weakening accountability dems. Should save your outrage and prosecutions for legitimate crimes. You just emboldened thieving politicians.

What a huge waste of time and taxpayer resources.

There was McDonnell’s immediate predecessor, Tim Kaine, now one of the state’s two senators:

Gov. Timothy M. Kaine, a Democrat, accepted an $18,000 Caribbean vacation last year, putting him atop the list of Virginia elected officials who in 2005 accepted nearly $315,000 in gifts, trips, concert tickets and other gratuities from corporations, interest groups and wealthy persons.
The newly elected governor’s winter getaway on Mustique — a private island playground for rock stars and royalty — was paid for by Albemarle County investor James B. Murray Jr.

Murray had contributed $41,000 to Kaine’s campaigns up to that point, according to the Virginia Public Access Project. Kaine reappointed Murray to the Virginia Commission on Higher Education Appointments.

The VPAP site reveals that since 2001, Kaine received $186,899 in gifts and travel - Redskins tickets, cases of wine, etc.

Before Kaine, Virginia’s governor was Mark Warner, now the state’s other senator. Between 2001 and 2004, Warner received $190,362 in gifts and travel - $495 bottles of wine, a $450 “handmade dulcimer,” etc.

In this case, it absolutely does mean he is innocent of the made-up charges.

Obama's Democrat-led Department of Justice was AGAIN slapped down.

And the judge was slapped for allowing it.

By a UNANANIMOUS Supreme Court.

Of course, the Supreme Court deals with (supposedly) constitutional interpretation of the law, not individual guilt or innocence.

So the correct interpretation of the Supreme Court decision is that the Obama administration violated Bob McDonnell's Constitutional rights in prosecuting him.

As others have pointed out... All to prevent McDonnell from becoming President.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (June 27, 2016) -- I express my heartfelt gratitude to the justices of the United States Supreme Court for the time and attention they have given to the law in my case. Today, a unanimous United States Supreme Court Vacated my convictions, and it is a day in which my family and I rejoice and give thanks.

From the outset, I strongly asserted my innocence before God and under the law. I have not, and would not, betray the sacred trust the people of Virginia bestowed upon me during 22 years in elected office.

Over this past 40 months, God strengthened and comforted me through the love and many support of friends, family, and even strangers, through His abundant, miraculous and amazing grace, and through the eternal truths of His holy word.

I am exceptionally grateful to my faithful legal team who zealously advocated my cause at every step, as well as the authors and signers of the 13 excellent amicus briefs that argued for reversal. I thank the many friends and relatives who steadfastly supported my family and me through this time of great uncertainty. Countless people have called, emailed, texted, and came to see me to lend a wise piece of advice, a message of hope, a heartfelt prayer, or a hug. These multiple acts of kindness have become the new tapestry of my life, and have given me a vivid and indelible example of Jesus' admonition to live by the Golden Rule.

It is my hope that this matter will soon be over and that my family and I can begin to rebuild our lives.

-Former Virginia Governor, Bob McDonnell

Alaska Governor Ted Stevens was persecuted for having some state workers come to his house and help build a deck. He was charged by Democrat goons. His charges were later dismissed when members of the judiciary noticed how un-American the Democrat prosecutors were.

Bill and Hillary Clinton accepted hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign governments, including Saudi Arabia. They have yet to be charged.

Tom "The Hammer" Delay was persecuted for obvious political reasons by insane Democrats. Again, when reviewed by normal people, his charge was thrown out.

Teri McAuliffe accepts money from non-citizens. A lot of money from non-citizens. He has yet to be charged.

Rabid Democrats launched an investigation against sitting Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. They were angry that he was kicking their ass left and right. They illegally used the process to secure a lot of state money to investigate a non-crime, only to try and get him removed. Again, when the judges looked at what those Democrat prosecutors did, he not only threw out the investigation, he actually estopped the Democrats from spending one more dime on that crap.

And, McDonnell was exonerated 8-0. The Democrats are crying, because they see their world collapsing.

Vote Republican this fall, even if it's for that idiot Trump, because at least he's not a corrupt criminal like Hillary Clinton (who really should be in prison right now).

The Commonwealth has the duty to retry him. The ONLY reason the case was overturned was because of an error the Judge made instructing the Jury.

It was an NOT because he was innocent.

You Democrats never fail to fail.

He was tried by a District Attorney in a FEDERAL court. The Commonwealth didn't have a dog in the race.

I agree, he wasn't innocent. However, he wasn't guilty either.

Although I am a lawyer, it doesn't take a lawyer to understand the difference between innocent and not guilty.

Also, I maintain that pretty much every Democrat is a crook, and Hillary Clinton is a crook beyond all imagination. She is the scum of the scum.

If Hillary Clinton stepped in dog crap, the dog crap would scrape Hillary Clinton off.

"There is no doubt that this case is distasteful; it may be worse than that," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court. "But our concern is not with tawdry tales of Ferraris, Rolexes, and ball gowns. It is instead with the broader legal implications of the Government's boundless interpretation of the federal bribery statute."

He earned his reputation. The not guilty finding had everything to do with the Court wanting to read the statute narrowly.

The Supreme Court said Bob McDonnell was "vindicated." Call it what you want.

Stupid Mary Ann Barton wrote in Patch that means the case is returned for a retrial.

No, the case is returned to the appeals court.

You liberals still want to adjudicate it?

Why do you people persist in lying? The word "vindicated" occurs nowhere in the Court's opinion. It simply concludes that "[t]he judgment of the Court of Appeals is vacated, and the case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion." Vacated not vindicated ...
