Why does WTOP announce female pro basketball results but not football

The DC Divas female pro football team are the 2015 WFA champions. They won the National Conference semifinal yesterday but you would never know from listening to WTOP. It seems to be a pattern. Why do they announce female pro basketball scores but not football?

That's because the WNBA is a professional league. Even as poorly as it pays its players- the *maximum* salary is $107,500, or about 200 times less than the highest paid NBA players- they're still being paid as professional athletes.

The WFA pays its players $1 per game. It's semi-pro football if you're feeling charitable about the definition of semi-pro.

I've been to a couple games of each team. The number of spectators seemed about the same. Good question I have no idea why the radio would announce scores of one sport and not the other.
