On Wednesday, June 8 around 1:28 p.m., police were called to a home in the 3400 block of Beverly Drive, for the report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation has determined that a man apparently wounded two adults at the home. Patrol officers, SWAT, K-9, the police helicopter (Fairfax 1) and other police assets responded and set up a perimeter. Personnel from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department also responded. Arriving officers observed a man deceased outside the home, in the yard. While conducting a search for the suspect, SWAT officers located a second victim, an adult female, inside the home. The suspect, an adult male, was also located inside the home and taken into custody. The female victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives from the Major Crimes Division and from the Crime Scene Section are on the scene. The relationship between the victims and the suspect has yet to be determined. The suspect was transported to Fairfax County Police Headquarters. The case remains active and the investigation is ongoing.

WASHINGTON — A man has been charged with murder after police say he shot and killed his daughter and her husband in Annandale, Virginia.

Hiep Van Le, 67, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

Fairfax County police say an argument began between Le and his son-in-law, 45-year-old Dang Ngo, and escalated when his daughter, 40-year-old Sophia Le, became involved.

Hiep Van Le then allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting.

Ngo was struck and killed outside the home, and police say Sophia Le was injured inside the home.

Reports of the shooting Wednesday triggered a heavy police response — patrol officers, SWAT, police dogs and a police helicopter — to the 3400 block of Beverly Drive at around 1:30 p.m.

Police then found Sophia Le injured inside the home. She was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, but later died from her injuries.

Hiep Van Le was also found inside the home and taken into custody. Two young girls and a teenaged boy were home at the time. Police say they were not injured.

Police say Hiep Van Le and the victims all lived at the home.

This no doubt came as a shock to his neighbors, Mr. Ho Lee Fuk and Ms. Sum Ting Wong.

What ever happened with this situation? I don't see anything past his being arrested. Was he released, did he stand trial? It really screwed up the neighborhood when it happened.

Co workers at the son in laws office were like: “dang! No! Tell me it isn’t so!”

My observation over more than half a century, living in Fairfax,
and in other parts of the country with lots of furriners, is that
a lot of men from south east Asian countries are extremely violent
psycho types who whip out guns and knives and go crazy in domestic
violence situations. Usually it has to do with the wife not obeying
in some fashion.
