police called due to unruly SOL test taker

Would Fairfax County Police post an incident report if it pertains to a call to FCPS site? Police showed up to 5801
Backlick Rd. yesterday morning because of a student protesting the SOL test.

Waste of our tax dollars. Let the officers protect our community. Not deal with an eleven year old protesting a Standardized test.

the ultimate in evasive mentality. refuses to wake up and realize playing xbox instead of studying was a really bad idea.

SOL tests whether your teacher is cheating

also SOL is NOT used for college entrance (but some free aid for college requires it, not all)

grades are a kinda joke now. because people in some parts of the USA (ie blacks in black areas) are being spooned good grades to "get ahead of whites"

while in other areas they are giving kids trick questions and being mean to them - ie in republican areas

the old rule was to PREVENT most people from getting A's and B's "because everyone cannot be on top". the old rule was not "certification" style training but general science training (which ASSUMED if one had a degree in general science then they could figiure out the picky little shit themselves)

the old rule is being applied in some places but not others in USA and it's just one more travesty of the obama.gov admin. to look aside while illegals as spooned grades.

VA used to be more into rapid certification WITH apprenticeship - a time honored system of "getting things right and getting more done"

it was in the mid 90's that the "teachers union" upped pay and demanded everyone sit around for general science studies

it can probably be proven the apprenticeship system is far more effective

you really dont need to sit around solving scientific book problems beyond HS (or even finish HS) to be a great builder/worker

unless your going to need to CREATE NEW SCIENCE as part of your job (and expect anyone to go fund you to do it on their time): ie, production chemist, doctor, engineer, proffesor of physics, etc

the fact is there aren't too few nurses there are too many "almost a doctor but not good enough" people as a result of the new system, still too few doctors, and still too few "grunts that aren't ripping you off or cant do the job right".

it can probably be said that making life difficult for budgeoning heart surgeons while making life easier (to steer crowds into getting minor nursing degrees) is a bad idea - and the same can be said for other fields of work

because to make America Great Again takes more than just a pack of people who've done a million book problems and can't find work, is why

'Twas a white student.

Not sure if it was an SOL protest or physical attack on Karen Garza.

I wonder if the police would report on this.
If it is a kid in middle or grade school, their privacy is protected.

Sixth and 5th grade students take three day long SOLs.
If a kid wigs out, so be it.

Working in a school has opened my eyes to No Child left behind.
If the school must pass accreditation, highly qualified staff put in the effort with the students that will pass. Or double the effort at teaching students that contribute to bonus credits. ( ethnic students or ELL).

For the kids that should b getting extra help, if they generally underscore on tests, they Will get Left behind.

Take the standardized test emphasis away. I'd rather teach all students what they need to learn, than teach to the test.

My BRo in law can pass tests like nobody else I know.

His people skills fall so short. He fumbles through his career.
When students are taught how to take a standardized test year after year after year; emphasis of social skills, dexterity, and thinking out of the box is decreased.

. To make the American Economy Great again, we need more than people that can answer questions on a computer screen.

I think the student had a seizure from staring at the computer screen for five hours.
The police showed up because it is in the 22150 zip code.

Have you noticed that Lynbrook is totally fenced off with 14 feet of chain link?

I will not go back to Lynbrook. The kids remind me of Tales from the Crypts.

There are three Headstart classes. The kids are three year olds.

Take a chill pill.

Peggy Fox, please look into gang activity at Lynbrook ES.
Children in the fifth and sixth grades are being enticed to join certain gangs.

The programs offered at the school or Big brothers do not interest the kids that are interested in the "rich" instant g ratification way.

The 11 foot chain link fence lining Backlick Rd, makes Lynbrook appear to be a prison.

Forestdale ES is getting the trouble makers from LYnbrook.

The student that caused chaos during SOLs didn't have a seizure.

She lives with a group of gang bangers.

The entirety of FCPS has a shortage of subs this year. After subbing at Lynbrook twice, I crossed that school from my list. The majority of the students are okay. A few Grade 3 through Grade 6 have students that clearly dislike being at school. Lord of the Flies.....

An old fashioned ass whipping would have resolved this matter. Bring back the wood shed to FCPS
