# of starts by who?

1741 in Falls Church fits your stars bill

I'd rather go to Bazin's in Vienna or, as the previous poster said, Red's Table in Reston.

5 stars are for people who eat sweetbreads and foie gras for $300/person and pretend its great food

Check with FCPS. Their employees keep a list and frequent them using the county charge cards.

Maggiano's
Coastal Flats
Ruth's Chris
Artie's
Cheesecake Factory

**These are the best restaurants in Fairfax County that I've been to. There is also some fancy french place out in Great Falls that is 5 starish (Chez something??). I assume it's still there.**

In other words, do not come to Fairfax County for high end dining. But if you want to eat well you can do that.

Are you an investor? (That was a short two minutes between the OP and your post.) The reviews on yelp and other sites are good, but not great.

Perhaps you meant 2941 in Falls Church, which is a fine restaurant.

The Inn at Little Washington does serve great food around that $300 price point.

It is L'Auberge Chez Francois, and it serves robust Alsatian food.

It's L'Auberge Chez Francois, been there forever, gotta give them consistency.
Not the first spot I would hit unless I was taking out Grandparents.

"5 stars only" is a bit vague. The closest true '5 star' to Fairfax County is The Inn at Little Washington
(Also west/northwest of Fairfax County are Ashby Inn and The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm)

For a more modern taste in the $$$ out of $$$$ range that have good ratings in Fairfax County:
Clarity in Vienna
Trummer's on Main in Clifton
Nostos in Tysons
2941 in Fairview Park

If it's business just go to the Palm in Tysons.

I know this is about five star restaurants but...

When I travel I want to experience local foods and cooking, not the local imitation of French or Italian haute cuisine. I don't know of any in NoVa that would have sufficient snob appeal, but you might want to consider Annapolis.

It's been riding on rep for a long time and relies a lot on location and overall atmosphere. It's a good place to take people, but if it's just me and I'm going for the food, then I'm going somewhere else.

Really???? You don't get out much do you? None of the restaurants you list are worth a special trip. Threee of the five restaurants you list are large chains whose food is mediocre at best. Sure Cheesecake Factory gives you a lot of food, but it all tastes the same, is microwaved, and everytime I eat there it gives me the runs for a few days afterwards.

Maggiano's is run by the same people who run Chili's, Macaroni Grill, and On the Border Cafe. Their food is frozen and delivered in pre-measured bags that are cut open by the chefs, and microwaved if they are really busy.

The other two, Artie's and Coastal Flats are a local chain that can be hit or miss depending on when you visit.

There is no real 5 Star dinning in Fairfax County!

The only 5 star rated restaurant locally (via Forbes..formally Mobil) is Plume in the Jefferson Hotel in DC. Not a great spot for a larger group and is more of an intimate setting. For business meetings you cant go wrong with the Palm in either DC or my preference, Tysons. If you need privacy you can request a private room but the main dining room is loud enough and set up well enough that you can have a conversation without people nosing into your business. Plus it has enough energy that people dont feel stuffy and will let their hair down a little bit. They have a great wine list as well. If you are in Tysons and it is on a Friday evening, take them next door to the Ritz and buy them a drink while you listen to the great jazz group that plays there. Plus lots of 30's-40's hot women that look like they are either recently divorced or escorts.

As far as how you will impress your clients, show them a good time and be a good business partner that over-delivers on what you are selling.

Since there are no great places to Eat in Corporate Chain Restaurant NOVA , you may as well save some money and take them to the bus station for dinner out of a TOMS Vending machine. Chocko Snack, Captains Wafers....

OP, first you need to learn English.

If you want to "impress" high clients, how about being impressive.

Instead, you are a bottom feeder.

You go to a site for free advice on how not to be a douchebag.

Well, I'm here to say that you won't "impress" your "high clients" with your douchebaggery.

Go to grammar school, and learn how to speak God's English perfectly. Otherwise, return to sleeping in your Mom's basement.

1. You need reservations for your party at The Inn At Little Washington

2. Hire a Limo big enough to take your party there and back to their hotel

3. Bring a bag of cash you'll need about 1500 bucks.400 for the limo, the rest for the food wines and tips. Expect to pay 250 a person at the Inn

https://www.theinnatlittlewashington.com/

You are a High Roller right?? No.. Then go to the Inn at Mt Vernon, same Washington .. Personally Ill take the Mighty Midget or Fishmarket. That high class French food would be lost on me..

OK Theres also The Refuge in Old Town Alex. a small place cozy and French too , Also with a tie To George.. On North Washington St in Old Town
http://www.lerefugealexandria.com/ Reasonable prices but not a chain about 50 a person.

Zucchini, carrots, and cabbage.
That's some inspired cooking.
