An official with the Department of Justice said the agency will no longer call people “felons” or “convicts” after they are released from prison because it is too hard on them emotionally.

Assistant Attorney General Karol Mason wrote a piece in The Washington Post Wednesday saying “many of the formerly incarcerated men, women, and young people I talk with say that no punishment is harsher than being permanently branded a ‘felon’ or ‘offender.'”

How about we label them "Misdemeanor Royale"

Her initial reaction was similar to OP. Then she says she thought about it some and changed her mind. She now agrees with leaving people alone once they are out of prison.

Except in the case of Hillary Clinton, I agree with Greta.

If you want to ensure people never change, keep your foot on their throat for the rest of their lives. They'll eventually strike out and you'll throw them back in jail. But who knows how many more people will be hurt before you catch them again, and how much more warehousing them until they get out again will cost the tax payers.

The US already has more people in jail, per capita, than any other country-- civilized or not. Maybe the reason for that is we prevent people from getting on with their lives. We hold our collective foot against their throat, thus guaranteeing they will eventually return to a life of crime and/or join the democratic party.

Do you mean you agree with Greta about Hillary, or do you mean Hillary should be called a felon even after she gets out of jail?

I just call them niggers or boy, as most felons seem to meet that mold...heck they will not vote anyway.

I agree with that too, but as a Felon unless they get a Unconditional Pardon from the Prez or Guv. They still should not be able to vote.. there Felons for a reason..No you just don't serve your time and that's it..

Unconditional Pardon, Signed by the Guv,or Prez givin to the person with their name on it.. All rights restored including the right to bear arms..That's a pardon.. What Fast Terry did is not.
