I am as hard-ass a parent as anyone. But I think this teacher is out of line and unprofessional. If you can't handle classroom and life stress better than that just get out of teaching altogether. I wouldn't get away with kind of attitude where I work so I don't see why it should fly in a school work environment either.

Lazy, millennial kids bitching about a teacher who is selectively being criticized in this video (we don't see the full picture). In all truth, many "bad-ass" parents above spend little time disciplining their kin - and think it's the teachers job. Hence, we have awful disruptive kids ambushing a teacher and the left wing society wants to crucify the poor guy.
Imagine how much productive our schools and high our SOLs would be if parents spent time in instilling the fear of god in these kids with a well placed spanking or phone confiscation.
Instead, you lazy parents wont even dock their allowance.
Shame on your creation of generation me. Don't blame the teacher for unprofessional behavior, when he has to deal with your ADHD demonspawn daily.

I want to give this teacher the benefit of the doubt, and It wouldn't surprise me if some of those kids need a swift kick in the ass - but that was pretty rough. Hopefully, he was just having a really bad day.

I dont see any huge deal - he didnt seem angry just annoyed or simply trying to make a point. If you have teens you too will be raising your voice as they often do not respond to anything else. All that said, if I were the Principal Id tell him to tone it down a little.

Had him back in 1995-1996 school year. Before SOL test he was a great teacher. He did yell but good guy

I was there in late 90's but don't think I had him. I had Mr. Mcallister I think was his name. Seemed a lot calmer than this guy.

I taught and I know kids try to set these kind of things up to humiliate teachers. I told a kid that if he tried to defame me I would take him and his parents to court and that I had the money to do it. Word spread and that was the end of their efforts with me as their subject.
