Don't care who they are fundraising for, they are blocking the road and slowing down traffic. I'm not sure why firefighters get a special pass, any other group would be thrown in jail for what they are doing.

I used to work with teens, and have heard at least a dozen stories of date-rape/rape/passed out non consensual sex at fire houses that have gone unaddressed... maybe a charity protecting young women from all you raping fire fighters would be useful...

I would have thought your years of family experience with the FD would have given you a realistic picture, not one shaped by your need to hate everybody else around you.

Our former fire chief just got out of jail for embezzling funds... and our fire house raises money by raffling off guns (25 in a day, several times a year...)

There is more money in not finding a cure than in finding a cure. Cancer...will never be cured. Muscular Dystrophy....will never be cured. Regardless of the money put toward these causes it does not make economic sense to the Health Care Industry to find a cure. Pure and simple. Prince William does not allow any Members to collect ON DUTY, or on county roads, they will also go to Nissan Pavilion and collect at Concerts off duty. All the proceeds go to MDA (I personally hate it because the citizens think they are giving to the department) even Non Union members help to collect if they are on the unit, and some Volunteer Departments get involved (Stafford, Spotsy, Faquier). Before you spout shit KNOW THE FACTS... Firefighters have to keep Crew integrity, You see a Fire Truck at the store getting meals, they will drop and go when they get a call, They will not stop traffic to collect and if you look away they don't care. They Take what they get and don't care if you choose not to donate.

You do realize that someone posted, on the other thread, that there were people collecting, then going to their cars and splitting the money for personal use, right? Who knows if it's true, but it was stated.
